The Gig, Sunday

Today, Firekeeper and Blind Seer- okay, mostly Blind Seer- decided it was time to give the horses some exercise with a revival of their game of chase.

So if anyone came to the Gig today they'd see several horses running around the pasture, being chased by a large wolf, while another (human-shaped) wolf sat perched on a fence, watching with amusement.

Seeing as Jim worked on the weekends and that this was the one that kicked off break week, it seemed to him as though he had two options.

First, Jim could choose to sit around and mope because the island was parked in an awesome place, filled with awesome things to see, and here he was, stuck inside and missing out on all of it on a weekend. And second, he could make the best of it, knowing that the rest of the week was going to be whatever he wanted to make of it, and what was one day inside doing something that he enjoyed doing, anyhow? Not a big deal at all, that's what it was.

In the end, Jim decided to strike a sort of happy medium, grabbing a tool belt and taking any of his smaller projects outside to work on, in the sunshine. Any of the bigger stuff, he'd still be stuck in the back for. But for things like telephones and alarm clocks? Being able to take that stuff just outside the door was awesome, and he was going to snoop around the shop for as many small appliances to tinker with as he could possibly find.

Even if it meant that he had a clear view of that horrifying sign of Rikku's for the majority of the day.

There had been nothing strange going on this weekend, which in itself was strange. Not that Isabela was always aware of any strangeness, giving that everything on the bloody island was strange. Ha.

So it was a relaxed pirate who sat behind the bar tonight. The pages she'd been scribbling at last week seemed to have multiplied and occasionally she would cackle as she added on another bit. Writing could be so much fun.

Dolf hurried into Turtle & Canary exactly on time, honest, a football magazine tucked under his arm and a coffee in his hand. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he babbled on his way in, "There was this thing-- and a frog, and a cat, and why do these things even happen?!"

Apu stared at him from the entrance, shook his head, and got back to sweeping.

"...Please tell me they delivered the soy at least?'

No answer.

Dolf sighed, eyed the clock, winced, and rushed towards the counter.
