Fixer-Uppers, Sunday
Sunday, July 3rd, 2011 08:58 amNow, it wasn't that Jim was a paranoid sort. Cautious, perhaps, when there were circumstances that weren't completely under his control. He did so much better when he was tackling danger on his own terms, after all.
And it wasn't that he had forgotten how awesome it was going to be, no longer being one of the newest kids on the island. He was thrilled! But no longer being a newbie meant that he was now the voice of experience, which meant that he was expected to face certain situations prepared. Right?
And so, Jim was both cautious and prepared for his shift at the Fixer-Uppers today, with a tarp and a staple gun tucked away under the counter while he every-so-often gave warning looks in the direction of the sign.
"I swear," he muttered, "if you try anything funny, I will use these."
Thanks for the paranoia, Stan.
Sorry, the well-prepared caution.
[Open repair shop is open! And the OCD fled from Jim's staple gun.]
