Jack was in a good mood today. Why? Mostly because he wasn't a dog. Granted he had totally humiliated himself on the internet last night but that was nothing new to him. In fact in Eureka that was a daily occurrence.

But what was really making Jack happy was the giant cup of coffee sitting in front of him.

"Oh God. Oh. This is soooooo good."

He was getting stares from the barista. Jack didn't care.

Topher was all set with the essentials as he arrived at Fixer-Uppers to begin his first day of work -- a four-pack of juice boxes (Watermelon Madness, not Appleberry Adventure), a stick of beef jerky, and some spider parts he had promised Rikku. Those, at least, he did potential customers the decency of putting somewhere other than on top of the front desk. Some of them still scuttled around from time to time, and he didn't want to freak anyone out or anything.

But the juice box and the beef jerky? Totally not hiding those. He had Watermelon Madness in one hand as he walked around the store, looking at all the stuff.

Fixer-Uppers was open!

There was a moment where in the park, there was no tea.

There was another moment right after that one at which there was.

How the park went from one state to the other would remain a mystery.

But the picnic tables were out, and covered in old-fashioned tea sets. Little stacks of tiny sandwiches were placed delicately upon fine china, and there were baskets of scones everywhere. Next to the scones? Marmalade, in several flavours, well-made.

The tables also produced various other sweets and desserts that wouldn't run out until the tea would, just as mysteriously, vanish right around 5 o'clock into whatever tea-heaven it had came from. By the edge of the park, there were several wardrobes full of the latest 1815s fashions to be worn - which would be a good idea to try, considering the rather judgey glances the British regency ladies were tossing everyone's way.

It was very expensive tea, after all.

Afternoon tea was ready, Fandom. Make use of it while it was still there.

Enjoy it. And don't ask too many questions.

Jim had nearly outright refused to come in to work today. After all, what good was a repair shop where the employee on shift didn't even have hands?

Or, for that matter, one where he as so stupidly short that he couldn't see over the counter. The wings kind of managed to make up for that. A little. But it wasn't like he had any idea what he was doing with them, and he'd ended up knocking over a few things with a pair of hopelessly flailing hind legs before he'd just given up and landed on the counter.

He was pretty tiny. The counter would hold him.

"Because I'm not already short enough when I'm not a pony," he grumbled, before sitting down and trying to work a screwdriver with his mouth.

Okay, so Bo wasn't usually the kind of person who got hooked on crap that came free from her phone market, but ... this one had robot unicorns. And played an Erasure song over and over again. And it mocked you when you got yourself killed.

It was just obnoxious enough to be addictive purely for the purpose of being able to finally mock it back when she won.

What we're saying here is that Tiny might be helping out a bit behind the bar tonight.

[OOC: Apologies for SP from heck; I blame the National Pokemon Championships. Stop looking at me funny; my nephew is ranked 11 in his age-group. And is in my living-room, so.]
