Audrey was trying to blame limited social interaction these days to tell herself that the one trooper (no, she couldn't remember his name, shut up) wasn't really hitting on her, and that she'd forgotten what being hit on was like. So she'd gone out for a while, gotten coffee, had a barista give her her drink for free, and came back to the station to get googly-eyed.

She decided she was just going to stick to her desk and do her paperwork, and prepared to update her 'days since everyone went crazy' count.

To say Toby was distracted today was a bit of an understatement. He'd start a task, and then stop halfway through and just start... staring off into space for a few minutes before snapping back to reality.

If anyone actually wanted food in a timely manner, they'd probably be better off dealing with the serving droids today. Honestly, it was a miracle Toby had stayed focused long enough to pick a special. Just be glad he wasn't the one in charge of cooking it.

TODAY'S SPECIAL:

Kenzi was feeling perky. Zippy. It was a little warm in 'Dite's so she'd shed the jacket for just the bustier and was now hula-hooping around the store. Humming.

Inspired, she wrote up a new sign.

Early in the morning hours, something was in the air. Something that no one could quite put their finger on, but there was a distinct change.

Perhaps there was a song in the hearts of the residents. Wait, no that was a different time of the year.

Some unexplainable thing that drew people together in black and white with close ups on selective moments in their lives?

Come to think of it, there was probably a good reason we don't know what it is.

But the flowers of Fandom began to sway softly to that strange beat, that music... in the air... ...

And one by one opened, pollen drifting from their hearts and into the skies, into your homes, into your loins.

Bod felt an itch. It wasn't a physical itch but a mental one. It was something that he'd felt before and he knew from years of experience what that itch was. The bad thing was that the cure for that itch was far away and he had to work and couldn't do anything about that.

So, he helped cooked and he helped clean and he did everything he could to try and forget about that itch. The less he focused on that feeling restlessness and idle energy, the less he thought about catching a portal to Kansas as soon as his shift ended.
