Despite the problems Sam had been having with his ghosts disrupting people (or person) lately, he wasn't in too bad a mood today. That might have been because he'd gone out skateboarding for a long, long time and was just now sitting down to take a breather. He was hot and sweaty but it had felt good to channel some of his discontent and guilt into exercise. He swiped his sweaty hair out of his eyes and stretched his legs out, using his skateboard as a foot stool for the moment.

He was spending as much time away from the tents as he could and therefore, spending as much time not sleeping as possible. It might be unhealthy but there was no way he was gonna risk scaring people he didn't know with random ghost visits. It was hard enough that he was bothering Natalie with it.

So, he wasn't sleeping and he was barely around the campsite which meant he was either off skateboarding, walking, or just...doing something that kept him away and didn't put his tentmates at risk.

It was stupid, he knew, because most people here were used to weird things but Sam was stupid at the best of times.

...sounds coming from the back room that sounded suspiciously like cursing and the occasional combustion of materials as Surreal worked on mixing basic potions.

The Magic Box was open, but you'd need to follow the 'boom' to find the witch.

Stark Industries, Monday

There were no particular disasters today - at least not in the shape of food items raining down or sitting around somewhere - which meant Ender actually had time to get back to his usual routine.

Only to be interrupted by one of the printers as it started making noise. The moment he made it over there, though, it stopped.

Fifteen minutes later, the holographic projection unit suddenly blinked on, releasing a high-pitched sound in the process. Again, as Ender approached it, it stopped.

Then it was one of the terminals in back. Then the server. Then--

"If this is you," Ender muttered into his Bluetooth, "It's not funny."

"Oh, I think it is."

Since the last game, the Stanley Cup Final was suddenly about 800% more intense. Which is why Jake was pretty much glued to the television in the back room today. If you wanted prompt service, it was probably best to go with Tino, but Jake could be persuaded to focus his attention elswhere in short bursts. Especially during the breaks; he'd rather do work than watch Don Cherry ramble nonsensically.
