Tino was the one who had figured out the thing about the fins in the glasses of water. But once she knew that was a thing, Jaye ran with it.

Which was why there was a line of water glasses lined up down the bar while she watched for sharks.

There was a single glass of water out on the counter, with Lion-o and most of the staff gathered around to watch. Why? Because there was a shark fin circling around the surface of the water. There was also a glass of orange juice, another of diet soda, and a bowl of soup that were all pushed off to the side after they proved to be fin-less and boring.

It was Derek's first day at work, so one might have expected some cheer. Or, you know, any emotion at all. Just a little bit. C'mon, Derek. 'Lurking' isn't an emotion.

So, people would be greeted today by his impression of the world's surliest looking statue.

Hanna really liked this job. She didn't think of it as retail hell. She thought of it as a place to hone her creativity. In her mind, she mixed and matched tops, skirts, jeans, shoes, accessories, etc. She could so be a fashion consultant some day. She could tell people this was where it all began...

Maybe she was getting a bit carried away with these thoughts, but it was better than making herself crazy with worry over another return home this weekend to visit a certain "frenemy." She'd rather think about more pleasant things like shoes.
