Jack was still rubbing a raw spot on one wrist -- chains hurt -- as he made it to the bar, and was trying very hard to be grateful for Derek's intervention over the weekend.

As a man, he was. The wolf was less approving of the whole concept of confinement.

Either way, it was over. For four weeks, anyhow, give or take.

He took Kaidan's pastry out of his pocket and ate it as a late breakfast, then started answering some of Eric's correspondence. He was rarely as grateful to have a job to go to -- and the corresponding reminder he was still fundamentally human -- as he was on the days right after the full moon.

Cade had a job--and not just the kind Rav used to assign him. This was one where he got paid by the hour and not by a percentage (at least, he was pretty sure. Maybe he should check with Tony?) of goods recovered.

The shop reminded him a bit of Uncle Bantha's place, so he walked around it for a while, touching the various electrical components, mentally assessing their value, portability, and ease of getting rid of them on the black market.

Shhh. You had your way of getting used a new job, Cade had his.

He finally settled behind the counter and looked surly. His customer service face could use some work, but Stark Industries was open!

The last twenty minutes were kind of a blur for Dave. He'd just been going to the beach for some fresh air at the end of summer when some people he was pretty sure worked as npcs clerks at local businesses brought over a grill and some food and set up a volleyball net and, you know, other various beach cookout things. Dave somehow immediately ended up working the grill even though he didn't know anyone's name.

Of course, then the people heard about another party on the mainland, so off they went, leaving Dave and the food and the everything else behind.

Dave had even grilled a veggie burger for someone, which wasn't even a named thing yet back in his time. "Well, they're not getting any of this food back, I can say that for sure." That's right, he was going to get his revenge by continuing to cook food. That would show them. And it would also feed anyone who wanted to come to the beach for a Spontaneous Labor Day Beach Party.

[OOC: Open for anyone who might want to spend their Labor Day at the beach!]

Vincent had the cafe decked out in little flags and red, white and blue bunting, with a wide variety of labor union posters from all over the multiverse.

He loved him a good theme, yes. He just wished his friends back home in Eureka could see it. They loved their themes as much as he did. Sure, his restaurant had yet to blow up or implode on him, here in Fandom, but that was part of Eureka's charm. And when things went pear-shaped in Eureka, there was at least a scientifically plausible explanation (for his dimension, anyway).

Today's specials
Organic grilled chicken sandwich (guaranteed not cloned)
Grilled vegetables with balsamic vinegar
Build-Your-Own ice cream sundaes

Luke's was open.

[ooc: this is quite possibly Vincent's last interactable post on the island.]
