Kitty didn't know where Tino got the flowers. Maybe he'd gotten a ton for Valentine's Day, or maybe he'd knocked over the flower shop. Either way, when she got in tonight, the stage was covered in them. It was possible a zombie was even standing on a bouquet or two.

"Okay, fine, I'll do something about the zombie smell," Kitty sighed to a relieved-looking Tino. "You're cleaning all this up."

At least she had a project now for when she was one of six people on the island next week?

Things were perfectly normal at the shop; even Jarvis announced he was undergoing maintenance and not to bother him.

It was peaceful. Victor passed much of his first day of work since the day he thought of as his 18th birthday doing homework and researching Turkey online in anticipation of the Spring Break trip. He hoped the cruise would swing by Göbekli Tepe so they could see the temple.

Unlikely as it might seem, Éponine's plan had actually worked: three days of observing the post office and tailing the employees on their delivery routes led to her, yesterday, singling out a particularly approachable mail carrier and casually offering to 'help lighten that heavy bag' by delivering some of his mail in exchange for a cut of the money. In her defense, she hadn't quite grasped the modern concept of paychecks yet.

That initial offer hadn't succeeded, but certain skills of persuasion ran in the family and she'd managed to talk him into telling her how to apply for a job -- and no, she had no shame about tricking him into giving her a referral of sorts on top of it. She'd had a stroke of luck, too, in coming across a bin of apparently discarded clothing behind a shop so she could show up at the post office in something that didn't look like she'd been sleeping in it for about a week. (She was relieved to be back in a skirt again, partly because it was long enough to mostly conceal her continued lack of footwear.) The amount of paperwork that went into the application -- or more precisely that there was any kind of paperwork at all -- still confounded her, but she did derive a certain smug satisfaction out of being able to prove that she could read and write.

Not having been entrusted with a full mail route of her own just yet, Éponine could be found behind the counter in the post office for the better part of the day, except for the occasions when she'd follow along (legitimately this time!) on a special delivery. Most of her free time was spent reading through the employee manual, or just wandering around the office inspecting the various modern items that piqued her curiosity (while commenting on them under her breath). Not the computer, though; that was one thing she'd be content to eye dubiously from a distance for the time being.

[OOC: Open post office, whee! 'Ponine's not in charge, but poke me OOCly if you're interested in a post office job.]
