Every surface at the shop was covered in miniature pumpkins. "Well," Victor mused aloud, "botanically speaking they are a fruit, so points for keeping up with the theme."

He shoved enough of the pumpkins into a trash bin to make a decent work surface and -- once he was certain nothing would demand his attention -- pulled out the memory stick from Doom's class and loaded the code on his laptop. He had no plans to make another AI, but seeing what it would take to make a primitive version of, well, him was borderline beautiful.

There was a spider on the floor and April was not even the slightest bit okay with that.

She shrieked, pulled her feet up on the chair, and scooted back all the way against the wall to get as much distance from the spider as possible. Holy crap was she not having this.

April had spent yesterday buying fake eyeballs and blood for Halloween, but spiders were a whole 'nother story. Ew.

Vodka was not Jake's drink of choice by any means, but he was not in principle opposed to it. Or even the existence of the multitudes of flavoured vodka that were out there.

"It's official," he told Tino solemnly. "Things have gone too far."

Pumpkin pie vodka. Seriously. WHY.

Jake was so busy staring at the bottle of pumpkin pie vodka in dismay he didn't actually notice that the zombie band had jumped on the whole pumpkin bandwagon too, and had carved jack'o'lanterns to put over their heads.

After getting their home set up as a tribute to Samhain, Halloween, and the Great Pumpkin, Kenzi felt pretty satisfied with herself. Demanding more theme stuff from the staff today was just icing on the domestic pumpkin bar.

This week Derek had taken all morning and afternoon making sure there were no idiotic shirt mishaps. Which meant he was there in a completely nondescript charcoal colored henley.

And a leather jacket. Because it was starting to get cold out, you know.

Damn winter.
