Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday
Friday, February 28th, 2014 07:57 amHuh. Still a candy store. Sparks hadn't seen that coming when he came in for his Dite's shift today, though he supposed the island's residents weren't going to miss it too badly. Not with the whirlwind tour of Southeast Asia that most people seemed to be away on. And anyhow, it was weird, but it was a nice change of pace. The storefront was bright and colourful, and he could spend all day looking at the various quirky toys and knickknacks tucked in amongst the chocolate displays and the candy bins. Heck, it meant he could use his employee discount to maybe bring a treat to Amelia. He couldn't imagine how long it might have been since the last time she'd eaten candy, after all.
He smiled to himself at the thought, settling behind the counter with his laptop. If it was going to be a slow day, he might as well spend it being productive, and Googling another handful of Canadian colleges with good performing arts programs seemed like a good way to go about it. If he was graduating next year, then he wanted to be on top of it, after all. Toronto alone had a wealth of performing arts schools; Randolph Academy, the George Brown College, Humber, TAPA... Bravo had a musical theatre program that had caught his interest on a quick read-through of the page. But then, Vancouver was also good for that. His parents had already said they'd really rather he not, not after boarding school in America, but they'd understand if the program he really wanted was so far from home again.
Occasionally popping a few jellybeans into his mouth, Sparks poked around Humber's webpage again. Acting for Film and Television, or Theatre Performance? Maybe he could find a way to register in both...
[OOC: Open to anyone left on the island! Sparkle now prefers to go by Sparks, and he's from an AU where he was adopted at the age of eight by a loving and supportive family, because I'm terrible.]
