It was nice and starting to feel summery, so Mercy had in a selection of appropriate music.

Don't be surprised to hear the Beachboys if you stop by!

Jack was refreshed from his trip to Vancouver when he got to the club today. It had been nice to spend time with Kaidan and Allie without anything attacking -- and the beautiful city only made things better.

Having been outside Fandom had him wistful about life in the rest of the world, where changing sex and age weren't routine occurrences. He was due to finish his undergraduate degree in December: Moving somewhere else for law school seemed suddenly possible.

He didn't think he'd really do it, or not right away. But it was still pleasant to spend a few hours poking through virtual tours of different law schools in between the everlasting bouts of bar paperwork.

Mother's Day had come and gone and Will had managed to push most of his melancholy down and back behind the door where he kept everything that threatened to make him a hollow husk. Repression was a mighty powerful thing.

The first thing Will had done when he'd woken up that morning was go on a very, very long run. He'd run until his legs ached and his lungs burned and only when he thought he couldn't go any further had he stopped. Stopping had put him right in front of the Perk so Will had decided to go inside to cool down and enjoy the air conditioner in there.

After ordering something cool, he found a spot near the window and stretched out, slowly cooling down and relaxing. His legs felt a little like jelly and he thought there might be a mild sunburn on his face and arms but otherwise, he felt pretty decent, pretty good.

As long as he didn't think too much or too deeply, he'd be fine.

The shop had appeared normal today, right up until a customer opened a book and it started singing at them. After that customer had been assured that that was a bit of Fandom whimsy and not at all how the book usually reacted, Rosalind had waited until they'd paid for it, then checked the other books.

They all had songs in them.

Rosalind retreated to the counter and the quiet of her computer. There were worse things, she supposed, than some boy band's warblings. That didn't mean she had to make herself listen to more of it than necessary.

The shop was open and there was a sign outside that read:

Now hiring! Apply inside!

Tino was grumbling that Kenzi was napping in the lounge.

Except every once in a while, a nerf dart would hit his head from over a couch.

SPECIALS
Mimosas
Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster
That Purple Stuff

[ooc: up late, I've got a massive headache, mod your Tino, no OCD.]
