Kaidan hadn't been doing much else besides paperwork for the past week, but he was finally making a dent in everything that had been left behind. Enough of a dent to have a clear view of the window, and definitely enough of a dent that angry customers had finally shown up.

Now he was working on one of the last stacks, sagging in his chair and wondering if this was the price the Alliance paid for having such excellent Portalocity service. Sigh.

Best part about being a bartender in the summer was definitely having an excuse to order a bunch of fresh fruit. Sure, they were for tropical fruity drinks. If anybody happened to order one. Until then, it was snack time for Buffy.
