Aeryn liked when they got shipments of things in at the store. Sure, the weapons here might be primitive and subpar for what she was used to, but it was a lot like getting to look at new potential toys at the same time.

So it was a little disappointing that today's shipment was all ammunition. She'd sort it out and get it all put away, but it was like getting the batteries for the toys, without the toys.

The fact that Aeryn had ever gotten toys in her life did not make it a less apt comparison.

Alana had a box of books to put away in the travel section, but she kept getting distracted reading them instead. There were so many places she wanted to go before she went home.

She snagged some guidebooks for the East coast and started planning an imaginary roadtrip from Prince Edward Island down to Miami. Not that she'd complain if she ended up just going to Miami.

Eleanor had still-a-polar-bear Elsa with her in the shop today. She was pulling out random CDs looking for anything that might strike her interest. Some of the bouncy girl-pop was striking a chord with her today, no pun intended.
