Having finally conquered the cash registers to her satisfaction, this evening Cara set her sights upon beating the bar taps into submission as well. Because that was a totally normal attitude to take towards technology.

Also, shut up, she meant for the glasses to be half-full of foam.

The Devil's Nest, Friday Evening

After finishing the Barry Plodder books, Allie had moved on to watching the movies. She'd finished the fourth movie just before she'd gone to sleep, and was looking forward to the next one, even if she was supposed to be working. Thank goodness for smart phones and streaming video.

Jessica got into town late, but whatever, she was back in Fandom. She'd been doing nothing but working ever since Galactus, so she hadn't even had a chance to let people know that she was fine, the world was as good as could be hoped, and everything was limping along.

And now that SHIELD was closing down and she officially didn't have a paying job, Jessica decided to take a few days back in the quiet little town that she could call quiet for now. Relatively speaking, it totally was!

But still, something was wrong. "You're sure that mustache isn't new?" she asked the clerk behind the counter. "Is it a bigger mustache than you used to have?" This questioning didn't seem to be going anywhere. "And you're the guy who WAS here before, right?"

It was gonna drive her nuts.

3 MINUTE DATES

Jessica walked into the bar right before 8:00 and strode up to Tino. "It's not happening, okay? I'm not signing up. I'm here for a drink. That's it. Maybe some spectating."

Tino handed her some notecards and pointed to the stage where the band was starting to play. "What is this?" A spotlight swung out to the bar to focus on Jessica. "Wait. No."

Tino nodded.

"Fuck you, Tino," Jessica sighed. But whatever, she was just hosting all of a sudden. It could be worse. She walked up to the stage and started flipping through the note cards. "Not reading this. Not reading this? Who was this even written for? Anyway, it's Three Minute Dates. Find each other, talk to each other, you'll hear some kind of noise, and apparently the names will be shown up here on stage. Great! So I don't even have to stay up here and read every... Dammit, my name's up there, isn't it?"

From the bar, Tino shrugged.

After this was over, Jessica was going to web Tino's pants in such a way that he wouldn't be able to get them off for hours. That would show him.

Also remember that most playing should happen on Saturday, but if you need to finish things up on Sunday, that's fine.
