not_every_mageAnders was pleased when he got to the shop to notice that Albus hadn't made much of a mess of things the week before. Not that he'd thought his other self had, but it was always good to be doubly certain. Not needing to clean up left Anders' shift free for a few other tasks in between customers. The first was taking down the harvest decorations that had been cluttering the shop since the summer -- they were cheerful, but starting to look a bit stale. Off-gray threads of real spiderwebs had even begun to entangle with the white-white of the artificial ones, he noted with a grimace as he took them down.
When he was done tidying, only evergreen branches, white lights and sprigs of holly mingled with the magical goods on display in the shop window.
That done, he sat down behind the counter with a fat tome by First Enchanter Josephus at hand. He was focusing on a chapter he'd barely started in the Circle. He didn't know he'd ever want to do much magic from the School of Entropy, as the way it smacked of slow death frankly gave him the creeps, but it still struck him as the kind of thing a mage should at least try to have a grasp on.
