Tonight, Kitty was behind the bar, desperately trying to find a distraction rather than being forced to listen to the zombies covering the Beatles. Noooothing but Beatles covers.

This was an affront to everything. Literally everything.

The Magic Box [Tuesday]

Celia had made a very important discovery on her way into work today: pumpkin spice was gone, and had been replaced by peppermint. And as soon as she'd discovered exactly how delicious said peppermint was when introduced to both coffee and chocolate, Celia had made sure to order the largest size of said drink.

She was mildly disappointed, in her occasionally-very-Victorian heart of hearts, that it was not actually pink. But it was still wonderful enough to temper her annoyance at how damned cold it was, even after she took a moment to warm up the air inside the shop, and even devoted a bit of her attention to keeping it warm. (Waiting on things like furnaces seemed silly, when one could do such things.)

Fandom Post Office, November 18 (Tuesday)

There wasn't much sign of Éponine inside the post office lobby today.  Wandering in and out of the mail room, meandering through the streets delivering packages, having a coffee out on the steps on her break, but inside the lobby?  Not so much.

Were someone to step into the lobby and overhear the constant high-pitched squeaking noise, that might explain part of it.  Were that person to venture closer in search of the source of the noise, they might see a vacant chair behind the counter, at one of the registers, and see the gremlin that had been bouncing up and down on it nonstop all day.

And that ought to explain the rest of it right there.
