All the remaining Valentine's candy was half-off this week, which meant Bucky was spending most of his day arranging all the heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and lollipops and goodness knew what else on one shelf and surrounding in with signs notifying people of the sale, as if they needed to be notified.

Okay, a dozen (small) heart-shaped little signs with arrows was perhaps a bit much. But Bucky was finding himself very distracted and... other things, these last few days, and he needed something to keep him busy before he went slowly crazy.

And that was how he ended up staring at a bag of candy hearts that weren't like what he was used to back home. Was it just him, or was it pretty warm in here right now?

Hatter was getting a little tired of waking up with so much energy. And it wasn't energy that could be eliminated by running laps or exercising. Nope, it was energy that made him fidget and move constantly. It was annoying.

So, when he came into the restaurant that day, he shouted, "I need something to put my hands on!" The staff stared and then tried their best not to look too distracted as well. Hatter just stomped into the kitchen and actually went to work preparing foodstuffs. He had to distract himself from his distraction. That totally made sense.

The kitchen was looking a little extra empty, today.

"Where the hell are the busboy and the dishwasher?" Eliot asked.

"Making out in the pantry," said the cook. Eliot stormed over to the pantry door, ignoring the cook's protests, and yanked it open.

Then immediately jerked his head away to stare at the ceiling.

"Remember to work at some point today, too," he said, closing the door again. "And throw out that damned garlic!"

Jack had followed Emma back to New York for a long weekend, so this was his first day being hit full-force by the sex pollen. After so long on the island, he knew what this was and that it would pass.

But the combination of wolf senses and supercharged pheromones still wasn't fun. Jack spent much of his workday in the club's office, attending to paperwork and avoiding all human contact. Tiny could take care of the customers. In his corset and false eyelashes, he looked much more approachable than Jack was anyhow.
