It was a quiet day in the shop, really. Nothing too fancy. A couple alarm clocks to fix, a radio that would only transmit things in Latin, fruit in the desk drawers. You know, the usual.

Things got more interesting after closing. The coordinates were set on the portal. Jessica just had to open it and she would be able to reach Battleworld after weeks of planning. But since she was going someplace called 'Battleworld' to confront a god named 'Doom,' she figured a traditional "Hope to be in contact soon" e-mail was appropriate.

Hey guys,

As you know, I've been somewhat stranded in Fandom because I haven't been able to locate my world. After quite a bit of exploration, it's become clear that it's not there anymore. Not just my Earth, but my entire dimension is gone, along with countless realities around it. I don't know why this is and I doubt anything can be done about it. But I have a lead on some answers.

I'm about to travel to a place charmingly called 'Battleworld.' Once I'm there, I want to find the guy in charge and ask him some questions. I realize that this sounds dangerous. It is. But I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't believe I could come back, safe and with answers.

Jessica stared at the screen, selected all, and hit delete. Instead, she grabbed up her phone, took a selfie in front of the portal, and posted to her various social media:

Going to #Battleworld, brb.

With that, she pulled her mask on, grabbed her bag of supplies, turned on the portal, and activated the beacon that could retrieve her if anything too bad happened. And then she stepped through portal.

At long last, TO BATTLEWORLD!

By now, Éponine knew what to expect around Halloween. To a point, anyway. There were fake cobwebs and paper spiders up around the post office lobby -- she kept eyeing the latter suspiciously, because they were on the fairly large side and she didn't trust Fandom to resist the urge to do something like bring them to life -- and bowls of candy on the counters.

The five-foot-tall Tootsie Roll that had appeared overnight in the corner opposite the front door, though . . . that, she hadn't expected.

[OOC: IDEK. No OCD, open.]
