The Docks, Saturday Morning

Francis couldn't make any sense at all of the place where he had woken up. It was much smaller than his chambers, filled with unfamiliar possessions -- and, he couldn't help but notice, none too clean. And not only was Mary missing, but there was no sign of her in the room at all.

If it was the kidnapping attempt he suspected, the kidnappers seemed to have done a piss-poor job of it; all the people he saw on his way out of the castle were either asleep or seemed busy with their own affairs. He slipped out a side door and stood blinking in the cold sunlight. He didn't recognize any landmarks, but eventually his walk took him to a harbor with a few docked boats.

Could escape and getting home really be so easy?

Happy he'd put in so much time learning to sail, Francis found an abandoned dinghy and pulled it onto the docks to inspect it for seaworthiness. It wouldn't do for the king of France to survive a kidnapping and then drown himself trying to get away.

The Streets, Saturday

Min-Kyung, better known as Lightning, was on a mission. If she was going to pay for her room tonight at the onsen jjimjilbang, she needed to sell as many bowls of noodles as she could. Fortunately, she had the determination and drive to set a record for noodle bowls sold in a single day! Staring out into middle distance as she zipped up her jacket and pulled on her rainbow knitted mittens, she gave herself her daily peptalk.

"약 오천년 전, 고대 사람들은 타이어를 발명했다. 1884 년, 빵 왕의 아들은 두 개의 타이어를 사용하여 매우 빠르게 이동할 수 있습니다 오토바이를 발명했다," she reminded herself, not caring (or possibly noticing) that she had a rickshaw rather than a motorcycle. She still attached her helmet with the laser focus of someone who was completely In The Zone. "오토바이는 깨어 있고 실행 중입니다. 완료 준비를 시작."

Immediately, she took off at her dash, racing through the streets of Fandom, occasionally flinging bowls of noodles at people with uncanny accuracy. "검은 콩 국수가 여기에 있습니다! 검은 콩 국수가 여기에 있습니다!"

Hungry? Let Lightning serve you delicious warm noodles with tireless enthusiasm! She was not just well-known, she was legendary.

"당신이 화장실에서 주문할 경우 지퍼가 인상되기 전에, 나는 도착! 아무리 경우에 상관없이 어떤 순서로, 나는 최고의 맛과 온도를 제공합니다 하나입니다 상관없이!"

And all without breaking any traffic laws. Lightning was fast, but she made sure to observe the rules!

A rooftop in the warehouse district- Saturday night

Kitty had had a long day, she had no idea where her friends were or what was happening, and everything was terrible. But they were at least a different brand of terrible than she was used to, so at least there was that?

And now the Shroud was waiting on the rooftop of a building, watching the streets below and waiting for something to happen. Maybe she was hoping someone would do something stupid enough to take her frustrations out on them. Again, it'd been a long day.

Caritas, Saturday Evening

Caine was having a rotten day. Waking up somewhere strange would have been bearable but when it turned out he couldn't find Jupiter anywhere, well, that was not so bearable. He was trying to keep a cool head about it. Mostly failing.

Long story short, Tino would not be trying to usher him behind the bar again tonight. He was free to sit and nurse his drink of something or other at the customer side of the bar. Brooding.

Caritas was open, not that the guy hiding wings under his jacket cared about that.
