Hopefully, everyone still had a little socialization in them yesterday after the mixer. There was still plenty of Tamsin's booze reserves to be shared, which would go nicely with all of the breakfast foods being served.

Each of the tables had a pot of coffee as well, just in case that was needed. There was no glitter in the coffee, promise.

As much as Sparkle wanted to be at the brunch today, well, he'd done his socializing at the mixer last night, had met some people he hadn't known before and had spoken to ones he'd never thought he'd see again. It had kind of been an emotional wringer. And... well... he had a shop to open, today. 'Work before play' was actually a notion that he was starting to take to heart, these days.

He did pause to contemplate just how badly he wanted to be working today once he unlocked the doors and stepped inside.

"Well... this is... retro."

He supposed, given everything else, that he should have seen this one coming.

It would probably surprise no one at Fandom that Crazy Apple had come back to the island with a pair of ATs in her luggage. It would, however, have surprised folks back in Tokyo. It wasn't that they didn't know who she was, what her history had been. She'd been nationally, even internationally, famous for over a decade. First as a rider, then as a talking head and advocate.

But that had changed. AirTrek technology was illegal for civilians to possess, and while no one thought she'd given it up, there weren't many safe places to ride. Especially when you were notorious. So most people in the scene hadn't ever actually seen Crazy Apple ride. Unless they'd been on the rare missions she participated in directly, anyway, and that was a different thing altogether.

Fandom, though, was far away from Tokyo. From her world and its laws. That meant that she could ride without fear. Something she hadn't done in years, no matter how brave a facade she put up for the people who counted on her.

"Oh." Her own voice sounded unfamiliar in her ears. "I'd forgotten." The freedom. The joy. The smile. The reason she'd started fighting in the first place.

She'd forgotten, but now she remembered.

Ringo Noyamano took a deep breath and opened her eyes. And swore to herself that she wouldn't forget again.

Alluka had not actually realized anything was weird about the weekend. After all, she'd had a perfectly normal Saturday, which had involved a tea party with a bunch of toys and snacks and had left her room only to run to the bathroom.

Today, she left it to go to work. She did it on her ATs, since Ringo had told her she ought to practice more. And she brought a bag with her, to hold her bunny, and a whole bunch of things for the stereo.

"I brought you presents!" she announced to the stereo, once she'd gotten safely to work and turned the lights on and remembered to flip the sign to open. "I'll show you and you can pick which ones you like the best. Oh! What music do you want to play today?"

It took a while for it to answer, but Alluka was used to waiting, when it finally did make a choice, it was something upbeat that she'd never heard before. Nonetheless, Alluka was enthusiastic about it. "Great choice!" she said happily, pulling up a stool to the speakers and reaching into her bag. "Now, you're really pretty already, but I thought you'd like to change your look up a bit, so I brought you a bunch of stickers! I'll show you them, so tell me when you really like one, okay?"

She also had ribbons, and a set of playing cards so she could show the stereo a game later, so that it wouldn't get bored as easily. (It had to be boring being all alone most of the time; Alluka knew that feeling.)
