Around Fandom, Monday Afternoon

endsthegameEternal night - silence, quiet - had its upsides. It gave one time to reflect, to consider one's life, one's options, and eternity in general.
Well, the island had considered. And it had reflected that it was, in fact, tired of silence.
And so on Monday afternoon, as the last student pottered back to the dorms with their things, it vanished in a flash. It reappeared in a beautiful lagoon, connected by causeway to a field of springy grass. The trees sang their hellos as it did, and many bouncy, furry balls conglomerated near the edge of the lagoon to ogle the new stone... something... in their midst.
Ah. Much better.
