The mist rolled out in the early hours of the morning. It was thick and nearly impenetrable, obscuring the ability to see clearly for more than a few feet ahead. It slunk through the streets, covered the dorm lawn, and snuck into the preserve.

It was the preserve that saw the first casualty. A poor Alot of Grass reached up and touched a glowing clover that hung before it in the darkness. It went still. And then it went still, as it was swallowed whole into the gaping maw of--

"RIBBIT."

"Ribbit. Ribbit."

"Ribbit."

The angler frogs flooded onto the island... not so quietly.

"Ribbit ribbit ribbit!"

[[ and the island will be under attack by angler frogs until sundown. good luck. ]]

As far as lures went, tiny naked ladies glowing and hanging around in the air were... definitely something. Dante had quinted at them, dancing in the fog. "Right," he'd muttered, brow creasing into a frown... and then immediately found himself having to leap back several feet as a human-sized frog jumped out of the darkness, big teeth shining. "Woah!"

That'd been a few minutes ago. He'd shot at least two more frogs since then.

death frogs all over so weird he texted Anders, phone in one hand and Ebony in the other. hope ur packin staff if ur out.

"Ribbit."

He hit the deck, rolling to the side, and watched a giant, flabby frog go soaring past, kind of like an eagle if eagles were shaped like a brick. "Okay, done with that," he growled, shoving his phone back into his pocket and drawing Ivory. "You ready to croak?!"

[[ expecting one, but open for anyone who wants to help fight frogs. or needs help getting away from frogs. ]]

Right. So there was some eerie fog out there, and giant frog things, and while Éponine might rather have just stayed indoors and not delivered the mail today, she seemed to be in the process of developing some code of ethics. Or duty. Or something else.

It was inconvenient, and it had her digging through the storage room in search of an appropriately hefty-but-not-unwieldy bludgeoning implement so she could at least keep the things at bay while she went out on her route today.

[OOC: OCD-free, open, etc. Not for you, creepy frogs.]

After an encounter with some frogs on her way into work, Jessica was back to work on her mask. "JARVIS, do me a favor and pull up any designs you have on record regarding psychic dampeners." Tony had to have something along those lines on file. She didn't think she would be able to completely shield herself with the amount of room available in a glorified domino mask, but if she could keep herself from being attacked by a frog who conjured up a fake portal back to her world, she would take even. Little bit of defense.
