Demon Marcus, Sunday

Another winter week, another Sunday spent putting out new winter clothing at the Demon Marcus. This week's new shipment was primarily boots. Cute boots. Cute, warm, fuzzy, practical boots. Because Sparkle was all for fashion - and hell, he even made a point to keep some boots that were more fashion than function in stock - but knowing the island's usual crowd and how many of them probably had no damn clue what to do with actual winter, function was going to come out on top every time he placed an order this time of year.

"I want a pair of fluffy ones," he said to Milady, whose little tank he had moved back to the counter so that he could have company while he worked. "It's like a cuddle for your toes! You know. If you have toes."

So, that was Sparkle's frame of mind today.

Luke's, Sunday

Kanan set one foot into Luke's today and immediately ducked, just in time for a glob of mashed potatoes to go sailing harmlessly over where his head was only a moment before. When he straightened up again, the busboy and the cook both gave him nerf-in-headlights looks and each pointed at the other.

"Uh-huh."

Kanan looked around. The place was spotted in assorted foodstuffs, the staff was equally spotted in assorted foodstuffs, and he was already developing a headache. Clearly this was an excellent start to what was going to be the rest of the week.

"Clean this up before Eliot sees this," he sighed as he mopped off one of the diner's seats with a handful of napkins. "And if anybody throws anything else at me, I'm personally going to rub their noses in it."
