"Okay, what is this nerdy crap?"

The piece of paper in Tamsin's hands was definitely some kind of nerdy crap, she was sure of it. Still, it was their best shot at at least getting the island back to somewhere that had actually decent bars.

She eyed the weird rocks embedded into the wall by Galactica Point. "I always thought some kid with too much time and no basement to fester in had come up with this," she muttered. She glanced over her shoulder at the waiting hordes. "Okay, here we go. Up, up, down, down--"

Oh god. It really was nerdy crap.

Around The Island, Monday Evening

Sometimes ending one of these invasions was a long, arduous affair.

Sometimes all it took was throwing a switch.

As the island's planet-hopping engines came back online, the mist retreated. The strange animals that had climbed out of the catacombs and into the light did, too. They slunk back into their corridors and their spinny rooms and their custard-flavored hovels to have a nice nap.

Cell- and internet service returned.

And, after a long, meditative pause...

... the island leaped back to Baltimore.

Covent Garden, Monday

Shiemi held off as many weird animals as she could and only when everything seemed to calm down did she dare leave her precious garden.

Or what remained of it.

She was at the Flower Shop now, though, Octavian-san! The store was closed, but if you needed something you could knock? She was buzzing around the store checking for damage and seeing what stock they had to replace and listing some things she thought that could be donated to help the town.

And maybe also a list of items to get the school garden back again.

When was the next supply delivery, again?
