Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday

The shelter... still had a bunch of chickens. They were even starting to look slightly more chicken than chocobo, which actually kind of amused Zack as he stole little looks at them throughout the day.

... He also kept pulling one out to keep him company from time to time, because comparatively it seemed a little less skittish around people, and that probably wasn't a bad thing to encourage when running an animal shelter that was suddenly full of chickens on a small island with no dedicated farmland and very few homes with actual yards, right?

The bunnies had started to come rolling in, too, true to what the vet had told him last week. It was kind of depressing, actually, even if they were cute. So, in those times when he was letting the little chicken take a break with all the other little chickens, he was sneaking treats to the bunnies. There might have been a midday run to go pick up carrots. Because bunnies liked those, right?

Fandom Post Office, May 2 (Tuesday)

Éponine could ignore the trio of pigeons perched on a bench outside the post office, for the most part. They weren't bothering her, or trying to steal her food, or flying at her head every time she had to go out and make deliveries, or anything bothersome.

She could have sworn they kept getting into fights, though she couldn't say for sure if she was just making that up to amuse herself.

It was more entertaining than dealing with the one mailbox that kept opening up and emitting a spray of bright pink flower petals, at least.

Not that they weren't pretty! They were just a devil of a time to clean up.

Groovy Tunes, Tuesday

Some days it was easier to leave the house if you weren't yourself. Which was why the Raven behind the counter at Groovy Tunes today looked like a pop star. A pop star who's outfit switched up hourly, as Raven got bored and twitchy and needed a change.

The stereo was happy to oblige her, at least. Though she was very clear with it that she would not be singing along, no matter how many karaoke versions it tried to throw at her.

She'd break before the end of her shift. But for now she was holding out.

So, Tali had a job for the summer.

At the shop with the AI. Yeah.

But that was fine, actually, since it wouldn't hurt to have a little money before she had to make her way back to the Fleet and she might as well get used to the idea soon she was trying to get a wider perspective of AIs than she'd grown up with. She spent a good chunk of the morning awkwardly trying to make small talk with JARVIS while sorting out the pile of parts she'd scrounged up at the junkyard the previous day; having a project to work on would help distract her from feeling uneasy about this arrangement.

Besides, she had a few ideas for improving the efficiency of the life-support systems on some of the Fleet's older vessels, so what better place to start experimenting with prototypes?
