Alluka came into work and… stopped and stared in horror at the fashion disaster Sparkle and Ada had created.

"Do, do you think we should fix it?" she whispered to her bunny after she'd prudently backed up a few steps. "Or, or do you think the mannequins are happy that way?"

Because far be it for her to try and make them feel bad about their life choices. Really, she didn't want to make anyone feel bad, even if they were mannequins.

"Maybe I could help them accessorize," she said, having thought about it while getting her tea ready and contemplating them from a somewhat safe distance. "Then it'd be a fashion statement instead of just… well…"

She was too polite to say it was a fashion disaster out loud. Her bunny understood her anyway.

"Alright," Alluka said bravely, "let's see if we can find anything to accentuate their good looks while keeping them in the style they like."

Her bunny doubted this was possible but agreed to try.

"She said she wanted to what?"

Eliot was meant to be working on paperwork today at Luke's. Instead, he was on the phone, attempting not to laugh out loud.

"No, no, of course it's not funny. But Tru . . . Cassie's been obsessed with swords forever. You had to have seen this comin' at least a little." He caught the eyes of the busboy, and rolled his own good naturedly. "I never went to college either, Tru, it's not a — okay, bad example. Hardison never went to college. Well. He went once, but it was on a job. . . . Tru. Trudy. Look, I'm sure she's not going to go become a criminal. . . . Well if she does, we'll teach her how to do it right — hello? Trudy, you still there?"

He pulled the phone away and looked at it. His sister had hung up on him.

He chuckled softly to himself and after a bit of poking found the message app and Cassie's phone number.
