The Beach, Late Friday Afternoon

So, like.

Xanthippe had been avoiding responding to some texts this week. From her dad. Crap about college and choices that weren't actually choices because some options weren't actually options because she was a Voorhees and Voorheeses had always done this and not that and ––

Anyway.

Today, she'd avoided the texts right clean across the island. For serious, she'd left her phone at the dorms and everything, and wandered around until she'd found herself on the beach. She'd been here on this island for what felt like forever stuck in a loony Hell, but she'd never been to the beach even once before.

So of course her first instinct was to Snapchat it.

Except, you know. No phone. Right.

... She didn't actually know what to do now. So she was just staring out towards the mainland, across the water.
