Miguel hadn't had any guests this weekend, but the house had. Liam's guests had actually been kind of cool, but Ariel had managed to move everything on his phone and he was still looking for half of it. And he'd given Lili his coffee, so here he was buying a cup. Or three.

"Just coffee. Black. Please."

He actually managed to get it, too.

It still had pumpkin spice syrup in it, though.

Sigh.

The preserve, Monday

Peter hadn't spent nearly enough time lately just focusing on his magic. Focusing on remembering and calling up more of it. And now that he had a roommate, he was reluctant to do the really heavy lifting at home.

So, here he was out in the Preserve, looking deep inside and calling up unpleasant memories in order to recall the magic that they brought.

In light of what had happened one of the first times he'd done this, he'd set up a magical perimeter a little way out to warn him if someone got close, and avoid him being startled out of anything.

The beach, Monday afternoon

Swimming wasn't exactly something Hera had a lot of experience with, but she'd lived on this island for months now and never actually done it, so before it got too cold seemed like a good time.

It was actually pretty nice. And at least with bathing suits it didn't matter they were all made for humans.

She reserved the right to splash Kanan mercilessly if his tongue hung out too far.

Shiemi had just come back from a week at home where she'd been observing a team exorcising a haunted house. Shiemi liked ghosts, normally, but these... Let's just say that she was totally not in the mood to put up with cranky fire-breathing plants.

She summoned Nii-chan and a moment later, the area with the new plants was enveloped in a shell of rowan branches.

"And when you decide you want to behave, I will let you out."

She really had to ask Octavian-san where he was purchasing his stock from. They were so ill-bred!
