Fandom Post Office, May 2 (Tuesday)

It might have been a quiet week on the island, but the mail didn't seem to care; in fact, there seemed to be an extra influx of it today, mostly in the form of mailbox-stuffer coupons for fast food and grocery places that only existed on the mainland.

This led, as one might imagine, to a good deal of grumbling on Éponine's part as she included one stack of the coupons with each bundle of mail she had to sort.

Of course she kept several stacks for herself, because there were a lot, and she was not one to turn down a buy-one-get-one-free meal, basically ever.

The Magic Box, Tuesday

It was back to work for Norman today after a week spent in Hyrule, and Norman was still feeling a little bit out of sorts. A lot of the wonder he'd felt at spotting the dragon had been kind of tamped down during his side trip with Sidon after the feast on Friday night. Now he was sort of dragging his heels, numbly cleaning the shelves, which he knew wasn't a great way to spend one's third shift at one's first job, but... well...

Once he got the place tidied up and any new stock put out where it was supposed to be, he could get back to... not moping. Thinking? Thinking. And feeling generally useless about the fact that his seer's abilities didn't really let him do much besides see. The good and the bad. The breathtaking, and the heartbreaking.

"Ever have one of those days where you just want to close your eyes and plug your ears and never stop doing either for the rest of your life?"

The ghost with the cat companion from the other week just glanced askance at him before getting back to perusing the selection of quartz crystals.

Furnado Animal Shelter, Tuesday

It was about ten minutes after Zack had wandered in for his shift today with Girl that the vet had nodded toward the dog and reminded Zack that she was about due for some booster shots. In fact, they could get those done today, if Zack wouldn't mind bringing up her vet records while they got that stuff ready. That was done easily enough. Girl's only vets had been the ones here at the shelter, after all, and they kept pretty comprehensive records of the larger pets they adopted out in the computer system.

It just happened to take Zack a little longer to find Girl's entry in the system than he'd expected it to. He tried his own name, and nothing came up, which wasn't really a big deal. Then he tried Ino's name. Nothing came up under 'Yamanaka' or 'Iris,' which he'd figured would probably be her go-tos when filling out paperwork.

A moment of hesitation before he tried Ino, then. And another moment of hesitation after as the computer populated an entry under 'Ino Fair.'

He clicked it, and... yeah. That was Girl's file. Right there under Ino's name, under his last name.

About ten minutes later, the vet wandered in to see if Zack had figured out the filing system, only to find him standing there, staring at the screen in shock.

Maybe... maybe she'd just give Girl her shots in the afternoon, instead.

Caritas- Tuesday

It was break week, which always tended to be on the quiet side as people either took off or just chilled out before the influx of new people, so Kitty wasn't expecting a busy night. Instead, she was on her phone, making a list of things she wanted to do for class this summer so she was at least somewhat organized.

Well, at least that's what she was doing when she ran out of lives in the game she was playing.
