Norman was, like, super dead but Nina had priorities.

Which was why she'd shown up to work a few hours early on totally the wrong day (because as if she was waiting until Friday to run a rescue mission!) in order to first figure out a spell that would determine where the puppy had been sent.

(Luckily, they had plenty of puppy fur on his bed for her to cast that.)

And then, it had been spent painstakingly drawing chalk circles and symbols, and inscribing the right runes in the right places. Once she'd triple-checked her work, Nina got to work actually doing the whole summoning thing… wishing crazy hard that she'd get what she was wanting…

There was an explosion of glittery dust, exuberant yapping, and the nearly deafening cacophony of what sounded like a million of Foomy.

Nina cracked her eyes open as paws scrabbled over one of her shoes. But she couldn't see her feet. In fact, she couldn't see out the windows or any surface in the shop either. They were, from top to bottom, absolutely covered in cheerfully burbling Foomies.

"Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she squealed. "Look at all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A three-tone chorus of barks answered her.

"And you're back!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said, kneeling down to pick up the puppies. "How dare Norman send you off????????"

The three-headed puppy licked her chin and neck, tail wiggling madly as it shook glitter everywhere.

"Oh, you," she said, letting her indignation go. How could she stay mad with him back? "I guess, like, I should figure out how to send all of these new friends home, huh????????"

A song of bubbling burbles answered her.

In trying to figure out the holidays, Sabine had found pictures of polar bears with Coke. She hadn't found an explanation for it, so she had no idea what to make of today.

Also she didn't need quite this much Coke. She'd come across four polar bears before work. Now she had four bottles to bring in.

Did anyone still need soda? Sabine would give you soda.

A little bit late and about a dozen bottles of cola later, Sidon finally made it into the shelter, nudging the door open as best he could with his arms full before depositing them carefully on the counter. What in the world was he going to do with all this Coca-Cola, anyway? He wasn't a big fan of the sweetness of it, though he did like the carbonation, and it definitely wasn't suitable for the animals. And yet, he doubted anyone else would want them, since you couldn't take five steps out there without having one foisted upon you.

And the bears were at the window, making it very clear that they felt Sidon himself could use a few more. He gestured at the impressive plethora he'd already gathered, but that didn't seem to convince them that he was truly, truly set with soda for now, thank you.

He shook his head and tried to focus instead on his duties for the day, because, really, bears. You might want to dial it down a little bit when even Sidon, the Zora Prince, thought you were taking things a little too far with your generosity.

Furndado is open!

Please have some Coke!

"Oh no, guys, you really don't want to do that..."

Vette was standing back with a Coke in her hand, watching a small group of very giving... big... hairy guys... leaning over the fence that was keeping the chompy metal pieces in, hoping to gift them with the miracle of Coca Cola.

The bitey biys were having none of it, except for the mostly tame one, who was mostly just jumping up and trying to bite the offered bottle out of the hairy guy's outstretched paw.

Vette crossed her arms over her chest. Raised an eyebrow slightly.

"I told you all. Not even the magic of carbonated syrup-based beverages can soothe those things. I don't even know if they can drink."

Dejected, a few of the bears drifted away from the pen, offering Vette some more Cokes along the way.

"Hey... thanks."

Amaya really only had a few more finalizing touches to do before Zack's sword was finished, really, so, after her radio broadcast, she just headed back into the shop to get straight to work so that she might have it ready for him by the weekend. This would be going a bit easier, though, she had to admit, if not for the bears, who were making quick work of wanting her to retract the nice things she'd said about them earlier.

Sure, they weren't as bad as the mistletoe, and, at first, it had been great. Blacksmithing was hard, hot, sweaty work, so having a friend there who kept offering her a cold, refreshing beverage was a nice bit of teamwork.

Until about the third one in a short amount of time, where Amaya really needed her hands to focus on what she was doing, so she told the bear she appreciated the offer, but she was good for right now, just set it on the worktable over there and she'd get to it when she could. So the bear set it down...and then offered another one.

...and got the same response. And did the same thing. So Amaya shook her head and tried to ignore the bear for a while, who kept inching closer and closer until she said something.

And, eventually, that something had to be: "Really, now, you're just being un-bear-able."

The Forge is open!
