The Park, Friday Afternoon
Friday, July 26th, 2019 07:09 amThere was a corner of the park, just on the border of the pond, where the disgusting summer heat broke into subarctic temperatures. Any duck that wandered into it became a penguin, which was, at least, Kanan's first indication that at least they weren't being invaded by snowmen again.
The fact that the penguins got around on little sleds and occasionally yelled, "Noot noot!" helped, too.
And, while Kanan had no damn clue what that even meant, he didn't figure it would be so terrible if he happened to work through his lightsaber forms just straddling the border of the hot and the cold. He had a lot to mull over this week. But, hell, at least he'd have plenty to tell Rey when she called.
... When she called.
When?
Huh. Usually Rey would have called by now.
"Noot noot!"
"Yeah, you and me both."
