So, the bar had gone from a stupid amount of chocolate vodka to a state of chocolate vodka seeming to have never even existed, and Tino kept giving Summer looks like it was all her fault, which made no sense on several levels, even if she did publicly threaten to throw all the chocolate vodka into the ocean on radio.

"First of all," she explained, "how would I have even gotten that much vodka to the ocean? Second of all, I would have at least left a few bottles, because there are definitely itmes when you're gonna need some chocolate vodka. And thirdly, I was being facetious, because do you know how bad that would be for the enviornment, Tino? Like, our oceans are already totally fucked, you think I'm going to make it worse by throwing a bunch of glass and shitty vodka into the mix? Not to mention the fact that the last thing this island needs is drunk fish. Or sharks. God.

"Besides," she added brightly, her disposition swinging smoothly from complaining to beaming, "I'm onto something else now."

Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Wednesday [01/29].

Even though the ridiculous buster sword Amaya had started on last week was far, far, far from being finished, it seems as though it was set aside for a new idea. In a way, this spoke very deeply on Amaya's sometimes lack of focus, but she was choosing to see it instead as a good thing, because the lack of focus on one project meant that she was getting a lot of really good ideas again, which meant she'd have plenty to keep herself busy, and that was her preferred state and all this meant was that she was getting back....into the swing of things.

And what a new idea it was! After all, who didn't love a good weapons fushion? And Amaya, inspired and driven as she was, was deep in the midsts of what looked like taking a mace and fusing it on the top of a long handled axe, with spiked knuckles on the haft. It was already shaping out to be just as beautiful and wonderful as it had been when it appeared in her dreams, and it was going to look so, so good on the weapons wall!

Beautiful enough to make you cry, almost.

Shunsui absolutely loved the mortal realm, which is why he frequently preferred to be here rather than the Soul Society, but then there were days like this where things happened that were just so morbidly facinating and awful that he wasn't entire sure about those feelings anymore, nor could he really determine whether it was a mortal realm thing or merely a Fandom thing.

"Yes, Apu-san," he murmured once his diligent little grocery wage slave tried to defend his actions, "it certainly does seem like that is the intention, but that doesn't necesarrily makes it a good idea. Summer-chan hasn't been sharing her pot with you or the Squishy Machine, by any chance, has she?"

Apu just rolled his eyes and decided to ignore Shunsui and all his (in Apu's opinion) misplaced judgement, and continued to take one of the Squishy flavors and 'dip' it into the other Squishy flavors before taking a sip, an action that almost made Shunsui wonder if some souls deserved Hollows.

The Perk, Wednesday afternoon

If Duke went back to his boat right now, he was just going to end up drinking again. Or possibly weighing anchor and disappearing for several days -- which, tempting as it was, he had plans with Rey at the end of the week which promised to be very distracting. So instead he headed to the Perk for a very large cup of coffee and maybe some food to stave off the hangover he could feel lurking in the edges of his head. And if he added a splash of hair of the dog to that coffee . . . well, that was no one's business but his own.

The staff thankfully decided not to antagonize him today. Possibly because he was still wearing a bit of the glare he'd used on the terror birds in class this morning. He tipped them well (no one was going to fucking starve on his account, dammit) and went to grab a seat in a corner, where he tried not to glare too hard at anyone else coming in.

Judging by the way most people seemed to be trying not to look directly at him, it didn't seem to be working.
