Usually, usually there was time in the store to do her own thing, at her own pace, and Iris appreciated that.

Today was not one of those days.

Mother's Day being that weekend and all, she got it, but it did mean that she was busy. Too busy to really think about anything other than what the next order was and who needed help and who was next in line (some people were savage about trying to cut). It really left her with hardly any time to keep an eye out for shoplifters.

Not that any tried but it was the principal of the thing.

And it let Silly feel useful as she gave him strict orders to watch for thieves as he bumbled about the store, the smallest, silliest security guard ever.

Rey had had a good trip home that left her feeling a little hopeful, which fit kind of nicely with the start of a new semester. And she never worried about anyone who might be showing up and the odds of everyone getting kidnapped again (this soon) were low, and she didn't have to worry about anyone in jail, as far as she knew, for the moment. Overall, it left her in a pretty good mood.

So today she was trying drills with her eyes closed. Actually, it was going really well. She didn't even outright hate the thing today.
