Midsummer Festival - The Beach, Saturday Evening

Sure it was a week late. And sure it wasn't even a traditional Midsummer festival because there weren't any games or people selling fried foods or screaming eyeballs in the sky.

But Magnus was pretty darn proud of what had been tossed together for a fun costume party on the beach.

With a big, mildly terrifying wicker bear waiting to be set on fire because something something Midsommar. He wasn't sure of the details because scary movies weren't his jam.

Either way, it would be good, clean fun!

Pick Your Poison, Saturday

At first Lucille had been surprised to see two rainbows in the sky this morning. Then she remembered it was Fandom, and didn't think more about it until she got to the shop, where the display was just as colourful and announcing the celebration of Pride. She then remembered there used to be a parade around this time of year, for a good cause, and hoped Iris wouldn't mind if she put a discount on the rainbow-coloured bath bombs.

Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday

The flowers in the shop matched the rainbows outside, and Seivarden remembered that thing called Pride, the need for which was yet another proof of this planet's lack of civilisation. She put up a sign in the window.

Free tea

The tea was always for free, but clearly it was more needed today.

Groovy Tunes, Saturday

There were rainbows, the stereo was playing a Pride playlist, and Breq was going through websites looking for instruments. With one of the pianos sold, there was space for more, and even though the stringed instruments might bother Tisarwat, she decided on two harps. And then wondered who on the island would be best suited to build a sea organ.
