Summer was actually a little worried she might have trouble getting through her usual day at Turtle & Canary that Monday--for absolutely no reason or anything, god!--but Apu was really coming through for her to keep her mind off of any building or mounting panic or internal flailing about tomorrow and the fact that she still didn't know what she wanted to do for her date with Barry.

He wasn't doing it intentionally, of course, but it was a good distraction all the same.

She'd listened to his detailed proposal, stared at him for a long moment, tried to process a few things, and then finally, just closed her eyes as if giving reality a moment to figure out if this was really a thing she was doing right now.

"Apu," she said, slowly and patiently as she opened her eyes again, "I don't care, and believe me when I say this is not something I say often at all, but I don't care if it seems to be really popular and what everyone else is doing, we are not doing curb-side pickup on an island without even any cars. We barely have curbs, and, besides, we already do delivery, that's way more convenient, and hardly anyone even uses that. So, what, do you want to handle all the complaints we get because someone's rickshaw hit a bump or the stairs a little too hard and all their milk and eggs spilled? Because you know that's exactly what's going to happen."

Apu was not convinced, which meant he was going to be sulky for the rest of the day, while also trying to sneak out a "ASK US ABOUT OUR CURBSIDE PICK-UP!" sandwich board for the front of the store, which Summer ketp removing, only to have it put back out, so she just gave up moving it and simply added a "PLEASE DON'T" sign to the top of it.

Turtle & Canary is open!

The good news was that the lettering on the frosted glass window at the front of the new offices was finally fixed and it read "Diaz & Associates" now as it should have to begin with.

The bad news was that Rosa didn't have any business.

Wait, no. That was also good news.

And even if it meant risking a turn in that good news, the detective was in, idling putting together some new pieces for her Etsy hand-made jewelry shop in her downtime, because, let's face it, that's where the real money was for her these days.

The thing about being a pirate who had also gone to a magical high school was that one did not, at all times, have full control over where one's pirating took one. Even less so than most pirates, in fact.

Luckily, Edward had grown used to the whole bloody mess. So when the seas became grayer and unusual landmarks began to pop up on the horizon, he simply sighed.

"Here we are, Adé. Not quite the plan, but still: Port of Fandom. Looks like summer, at least." He glanced towards his stoic quartermaster with a grin. "You'll finally get your pick of those sodas Grim was going on about last time."

Adéwalé snorted. "I would have preferred the ale you promised me in Nassau."

The Jackdaw pulled into port as if its crew had done this a million times. Which it hadn't, but it had done so a handful of times, and Captain Kenway's men didn't forget a strange port that quickly, and even if there were more ships this time, well, they found a place for their beloved brig.

Totally uneventful day at the gym so far, and Beau was honestly kind of hoping it'd stay that way, and give her time to concentrate on her own workout because that was absolutely the correct way to spend her hours on the clock.

Things looked like they'd be heading down that track, too ... until what looked like a pair of gremlins on hang gliders went soaring across the ceiling from one air vent grate to another, and then Beau had to go grab her staff and go hunting for the damn things. She would've been fine leaving them to their business, except that some guy doing deadlifts was starting to have a panic attack about them and it wasn't like she could just leave him that way, right? Like, the injury paperwork alone would suck.

[OOC: Yeah so like this happened last episode and I haven't been able to stop being utterly delighted about it, nor have I been able to stop watching this scene over and over and I'm totally blaming that for why this post is going up so late. (Hi, my girls are such dorks. Anyway, post/gym open!]

The store was very quiet today, so once Nell had taken care of all the standard stuff and cleaned the store to within an inch of its life, she still had time to fill.

So, she used it to spend a little extra time with the plants she was growing out back and drying for her teas and lotions. She had plenty to share with others and maybe even to think about selling somewhere.
