Wanda had been going through the books at work, seeing if there was anything in them that covered hole magic. Or if hole magic was a thing. Grogu was in his pram, playing with one of the about fifty toys Wanda had conjured up for him in the last few days.

And then of course a hole appeared, and started sucking up the store. Because Grogu was cursed, apparently. 

Wanda threw a hand out, sending a wisp of red towards Grogu's pram to push him out of the store. It might have been a bumpy ride, but that thing seemed like it could take a launch from a little chaos magic without falling apart.

She tried making a run for it herself, but it was too late, she went down into the hole with the store a moment later.

Kitty didn't know what to do. This was beyond frustrating as an X-Man who'd been through way worse things in this town, and the fact that they still didn't know anything was the worst part about it. And Clint was wherever the holes were taking people, so she couldn't even just move on to other things.

(Not that she would anyway, superhero, etc., but like, mentally.)

So right now Lexi had a juice box and a stool to sit on and before long would be sleeping in the office come bedtime, but regardless:

It wasn't that Jesse hadn't been working on the big hole problem, but yesterday had made it personal. Under ideal circumstances, that would have led her to some kind of breakthrough overnight, but sadly...

"Never how it works," Jesse sighed to the fern sitting next to her desk.

Instead it was just stupid, painstaking, crossreferencing work. Not her strong suit. She had a map set out in front of her and she was doing her level best to mark off raccoon and hole sightings as she went along.

"There's got to be an answer in here somewhere..."
