Astrid wasn't surprised in the least to come into work that day and find Apu busy woth setting up a display featuring earplugs and noise-canceling headphones for sale, as well as an assignment from Summer to make up some signs for the special.

Nor was she surprised that Apu, using product knowledge and testing as an excuse, was taking advantage of some of those earplugs to avoid having to communicate with her.

Which was fine. The peace and quiet after all those alarms was very welcome.

Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey still felt like she was readjusting a little after yesterday's super fun 3 am wakeup call.

Naturally the best way to snap herself out of it was to run the course with a couple remotes and Barry's drones following her.

Totally normal stuff here. At least she'd get bragging rights if she emerged from today without bruises.

The Park, Friday Afternoon

Bucky had been doing a lot of thinking over the past couple of weeks.

... And Bucky was still doing a lot of thinking, so, you could tell just how well that had gone. But at least he'd braved the outdoors again today - actually in the daytime for a change - and even had a takeaway cup of (plain, black) coffee in hand as he made his way through the park. Until he came up to the pond, anyway, and saw the flamingos and the ducks hanging around there.

A very old memory in a long-forgotten part of his brain made him wish he'd brought something to feed to the birds. But maybe he could stay and watch them for a while, even without having anything to offer.
