The Photo Hut; Monday [11/22].
Monday, November 22nd, 2021 04:23 amSoooooo, this last week had been....kind of a looooot, and Prompto found himself that Monday with...a few...regrets, if he was entirely honest. Not that he didn't want to be there to help and support Liz, because he did, and he knew she was going to need it, but still...he was way out of his element here. As if the whole fact that her having, you know, sort of killed a bunch of people, including those on her team, might make conversation around the table a little more awkward, there was just that Liz's friends from home included a big fucking daemon and some dude who could apparently read his mind, and that wasn't intimidating! No, not at allllll.
He didn't even really celebrate Thanksgiving!
And it really didn't help that Gladio had pretty much read him the riot act about jumping in too quick and too fast; apparently, Liz had not left a very good impression on Saturday, and was convinced that most of this was just Prompto trying to overcompensate for the failings in his last relationship, which, come on, man, ouch. Harsh much?
But whatever. He was in for it now, and at least there'd be cats, and it meant a lot to Liz, and that was what mattered, and, if anything, there was still a chance her boss would totally veto the idea of some rando crashing in on their secret government agency holiday party, so, really, the odds of getting out of it still seemed pretty high, if you asked him...
But, for now, to keep his mind off of all that, he was just sort of fiddling with some equipment and testing out different scopes on some new lenses that had just come in. Because, hey, if he was going to be selling them and making recommendations to people, he should have the experience with them himself, right?
