To say that Summer was stoked to discover that the booze and caffeine thing was not, in fact, neither a Lenten thing or a personal attack was an understatement, and it should really be no surprise that her shots that evening were going to reflect this fact. With maybe a little bit of Irish thrown in because St. Patrick's Day annoyingly fell on a Monday this year, which meant if she did it next week, then it'd be after the fact, and, well, that would just be kind of lame, wouldn't it?

With that whole bathtub incident and the whole thing with the all the alcohol gone missing from last week, Shunsui was almost dreading going into the shop that day, not sure if he was spiritually prepared for whatever new fresh hell Apu-san had waiting for him. But, actually? It wasn't all that bad. Apparently, it was Celebrate Your Name Week, and today, specifically, was Discover What Your Name Means Day, which meant Shunsui was greeted with a nice little dissection of the meaning of his name. Which he already knew, but, well, out of all of Apu-san's antics, this one was fairly harmless.

Even if surname ("Capitol" plus "Music/Comfort/Pleasure") that held the deep suggestion of a spoiled city boy in the style of old samurai dramas combined with a given name that could be loosely translated to 'sweet water' seemed a little on the nose.

And he couldn't help but wondering what Apu-san would make of the fact that, translated, his swords' name basically meant 'Bones of Heavenly Blooming Madness.' That would certainly be a fun one to dismantle, neh?

In fact, maybe he would just shove a whole bunch of various zanpakutō-related names at him; it could certainly keep the man busy for probably hours....and then he could get in those much needed and scheduled naps he had planned.

Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [03/09].

With the exception of a few St. Patrick's Day floral arrangements (whcih were apparently a thing now?), there wasn't a whole lot to do at the shop for Astrid's shift that day, so she mostly spent it doing something she had sort of been putting off, and that was sorting through a stack of brochures and other pamphlets regarding a variety of cheap and potentially affordable art schools. She didn't really know if it was too late to pull something off for the summer, but maybe she could figure out something by the fall...

Among this information, too, was a letter that had been half in her mind since she received it, with the return address being a comic books shop somewhere in New York, from a man named after a fish, that had her unexpectedly favoring some of the schools on this coast rather than the West Coast.

It was probably a terrible idea, really, but....what else did she have? Who else did she have?

It was at least, she figured, worth some consideration, as she toyed around with the idea of exactly where she honestly went from here.

The Perk, Wednesday Morning

The first few days of Lent hadn't been too bad, actually. With all the coffee (and alcohol) gone, it had kind of been like everyone had been stuck doing this with him.

Of course, now it was all back to normal and if radio was anything to go by, folks were likely making up for lost time.

Not Will, though. Oh no. Though he hadn't given up coffee entirely. Just coffee with anything fun in it. And desserts. So instead of a flavored latte and a pastry, he had black coffee and a bagel with a bit of cream cheese.

He took a sip of his boring, boring coffee and made a face. It was gonna be a long month.

The gremlins had enjoyed a mystery board game night, as Steph discovered as soon as she came in and made her morning pre-opening inspection of the shop.

"Wonder if they found out who did it," she mused out loud to herself as she finished putting away the game pieces and cards they'd left out on the tables upstairs.

Though that was a question that might remain unanswered for now, since she had a LARP session to help brainstorm, an adventure module to test-play, and also those new minis wouldn't put themselves on the shelves.

... not that she'd tried to see if they would.
