A few days ago, Amaya had discovered Christmas crackers, was thoroughly disappointed in them, and had since made it her goal to figure out ways to improve upon them substantially. Paper and chemicals weren't exactly the strongest elements of her arsenal, but, in a way, that just made it more challenging, and she did enjoy a good challenge. And anyone could make things explode, she figured, but the real goal here was to keep in the spirit of the crackers being harmless fun, while making them maybe a little less...anticlimactic.

But since there was a good deal of trial and error and volatile chemicals and heat involved, and now that she was no longer pushing the holiday business rush, the advertisement on the sandwich board outside the door was replaced with but a simple warning:

But at least on the bright side, she didn't need to add a 'sharp flying objects' warning on it this time.

Atlas Gym; Tuesday [12/27].

Gladio figured (and the records confirmed it) that a gym on an island like this one didn't exactly experience that stereotypical rush of new memberships soon to be forgotten about after the second week of January in the failed pursuit of certain New Years Resolutions, but he also felt, as the owner of a gym now, that he had a certain obligation to make at least one joke about it. So there was a new sign in the window:

Apply Only if you make it to February!

That's what you got when you had a guy running the place who actually cared about people working out instead of just reaping the monetary benefits of people's lack of will power and motivation.

Caritas- Tuesday

The bar was actually more or less ready for Saturday. Against all better judgment the light wall was up, the Christmas decorations weren't coming down yet, and all that really needed to be done was setting up the disco ball and glitter. (Maybe confetti? TBD.)

And Tino had taken it upon himself to do some ordering, which was why they just had a ton of egg nog and hot chocolate today. Just, so much.

So, today was experiment day, figuring out what drinks they could come up with starring those.

There were no weird anythings outside today, so maybe this had been a Christmas thing and the island would be normal now. Arthur could hope.

It would make up for the fact that John had grabbed several of the crackers from Jon's place yesterday and was weirdly fascinated with them.

One more, Arthur! Just grab the fucking end, okay?

Arthur sighed and held onto it so John could pull. Let John get his amusement where he could.

Liz couldn’t believe that Christmas was now over and she had enjoyed getting to celebrate with Prompto at the BPRD. She couldn’t help but marvel at the fact that next Christmas they would be celebrating with their daughter.

Now thet Christmas was over, there was the wedding that was coming up in a couple of weeks and she was looking through Pinterest in case there was anything that stood out to her for last minute ideas.

She did have some last minute work to catch up on with some financial reports so her focus was being divided between Pinterest and her work, even though she was finding Pinterest more fascinating.
