The biggest, most annoying thing about caring for a koala, especially a Stark-koala, was definitely the clinging and the feeling that, even when you did finally manage to pry yourself out of those koala-arms, they somehow managed to find themselves right back where they were mere moments later. Which made it difficult to do things, but Summer was not going to let that stop her.

She did, however, not love the idea of dealing with a clinging koala while at the store, because there were just too many things around for him to grab onto and probably knock over, and so, thankfully, one of the best things about caring for a koala, even a Stark-koala, was that they slept a lot.

So it was just a matter of timing and effectively setting up a cling decoy by putting a pink tank top on a pillow and strategically setting it near an orange-red towel as she pried herself away and placed Stark nearby it while slipping out to go to work.

Hopefully, by the time she was done, he'd be back to normal...a lot of times these thing were taken care of by the beginning of the next week, but she was making sure to keep her hopes in check in that regard.

There were cute model airplanes hanging from the ceiling that day, as well, and both Apu and the cheese panda were rocking cute old-timey aviator caps that Summer was almost a little jealous of, but whatever.

Prompto felt kind of bad about it, but he was so glad to be able to retreat and escape to the relative quiet of the store that morning. He was a little worried and would probably be indulging in the terrible rabbit hole that was looking things up online, but, man, Noctra had had a really rough night last night, and he was up all night trying to get her to settle and stop crying. He really hoped it was just that she was having a fussy day, because, hey, man, he could relate, sometimes everything just made you really cranky and you had to just wallow in it a little, but he was worried because she was usually such a quiet little lady...

...well, except when she wasn't, and then...hoo boy.

He was trying to reassure himself that it was just growing pains and very normal for babies to have bad days, just like older people did, but it was probably even worse for them because it's not like they could really communicate what was bothering them. He just hoped it got out of her system last night so that Liz didn't have to deal with it too much...

But, oh, gods, the quiet down here in the store was nice right now, and he was going to feel guilty about it, but he was definitely reveling in the peace and quiet.

Maybe squeeze in a nap or two, as well, while he was here.

Rosa was working very hard at her computer that Monday, frowning with intent as she typed and clicked away.

But no, she was not hard on the trail of a new case or anything like that. Don't be silly. It's just that she'd double-headed a certain epic pair of movies released on the same day that weekend, and let's just say, she had opinions, and clearly so did everyone else, and it was very important that she let everyone know how wrong they were about all of them.

Distract her at your own risk.

Monday: Covent Garden Flowers

Nell was still on Cloud Nine after her actual date with Gladio on Saturday. It had all been wonderful and so comfortable. She hadn't felt out of place or awkward, just happy and all fluttery in her stomach.

The flowers here had definitely picked up on her mood and were humming and swaying along to the music Nell was playing. One of the trumpet flowers got a little rude and made kissing noises, but the irises shut him right down. No spooking Nell!

Trooper Station, Monday

It wasn't as grossly humid today, which meant that Steve thought it was a perfect opportunity for the Troopers to go on a nice, long run around the island.

The Troopers weren't plotting his death when they returned but they wouldn't be sad if he fell of a cliff. You know, accidentally.

The Trooper Station was open and smelling like sweaty Trooper armor.

The Devil's Nest, Monday Night

Tiny had declared tonight "Use Up the Random Booze" Night and was offering drink specials using some of the weirder things from the back shelves.

Eric didn't really care until he saw one labeled "oyster sauce". And that's how he learned Tiny was also using this as a chance to empty out his pantry.

The Devil's Nest was open. Maybe avoid the specials.

Was everyone aware of the fact that Saffron's life was hard?

That it was, in fact, the absolute worst? That she was forced to endure starvation (her dish was full), neglect (Vi was only using one hand to pet her. One!) and all manner of trials (Steph kitty was a very enthusiastic playmate).

Truly, none had ever known suffering like Saffron had. She was just going to waste away to nothing in this sunbeam and then they'd all be sorry.
