"No, dude," Prompto informed Apu firmly, "I am not going to do you the favor of quitting my job just because it's supposedly Do a Grouch a Favor Day! Just because you're a total grouch all the time doesn't mean I owe you anything just because the internet says it's a day when I should!"

In fact....

"You've actually been such a grouch that I'm feeling grouchy!" he realized. "So maybe you should do me the favor of just not being a grouch all the time!"

There was a pause, some consideration of this point, and then Apu turned to go to the back room and began to pull out supplies and a few boxes to set up the store for National Tartar Sauce Day instead.

"Yeah," said Prompto with a little sniff and a pout. "That's what I thought."

Inspired by both his class yesterday and him mentioning how people should totally come in and buy more dice today, Graham's attention was definitely on looking through to see which new sets he hadn't noticed yet and considering which he would get if he did get a new one and trying to think of which ones he might suggest to people, or even just buy for some of his friends himself, and, man, what was it about these little guys that made them so darn irresistible??

But just as long as he didn't get any of the boxes of dice (especially certain ones) with the box of chocolate-covered cherries he'd picked up on the way in, though, he should be all set!

No one ever introduce him to candy dice. It would not end well.

Friday at the Onsen: Time to Relax

After the week she'd had Nell definitely could use some time to relax and refresh. After she'd finished her chores and her workout, she'd headed for the Onsen.

After leaving a note for Gladio in hopes that he'd join her when he was done with his business for the day.

While she soaked and waited she thought about the events of the past year and how much her life had changed. Imagine if she'd never tried to make her way home from the clinic and been rescued by Gladio!

She'd admired him from a distance, of course, how could she not when he was so handsome? But finding out how kind and funny and smart he was had been an even bigger draw. And then to discover he was the kind of person who was also comfortable with silence , well... that was amazing to her.

The rest, as marvelous as it was, couldn't compare. Not that she'd trade any of it for anything.

Needful Things; Friday

Last night, Harley had broken into a store.

This one: Needful Things.

And what, don't give her that look, you woulda done it too! If you'd showed up in town with nothing but hopes and dreams and a bag and a hyena and a taxidermied beaver, that was. Harley had spent most of Thursday traipsing around town just taking it all in, but when the day had begun turning into evening, she'd stumbled upon this place. And through the window, she'd seen what she'd thought was another taxidermied beaver and, well, that had just seemed like a sign, you know? Plus a good opportunity to get Beaver a friend!

And sure, what she'd thought was a beaver had actually turned out to be a funky vintage wig all askew on a mannequin head, but that hadn't dampened Harley's enthusiasm much. This place had potential regardless of that or the verdict from Cass that she was going to "catch some sort of old person disease from all the old person junk" when Harley had sent her some pics this morning.

...

It was real fuckin' dusty in the store, though. And that was why the door was currently wide open to let some air in, and Harley could be seen in the window, dusting things. Like a real small town business owner!

Who'd just stolen an entire store.
