Atlas Gym; Tuesday [02/20].

It had been a while since Gladio had dealt with some random bright-eyed, bushy-tailed kid toting a backpack full of red and white balls wandering into Atlas with the very wrong impression of just what kind of gym it was, but, since it had happened before, he was a little less confused by the arrival of this one coming in and challenging him and asking about badges and more amused as he calmly explained that, no, it wasn't that kind of gym.

The whole thing, however, got just a little muddled when the gremlin aerobics class got out and the kid got all excited about some new type he'd never seen before and Gladio had to do a little chaos control when she started pulling those balls out of her backpack and trying to throw them at the gremlins in an attempt to 'catch them all.'

Look, it didn't feel good having to pretty much kick a kid out by picking them up by the scruff of their shirt and bodily removing them, but those gremlins were paying customers, kid.

Atlas is open!

Luke's Diner; Tuesday [02/20].

After a little bit of neglect in light of things like unexpectedly attempting to save cities and a bit of lazing about in another country, and another week of lazing about in another constellation, Ignis was eager to get back behind the counter and back into the kitchen of Luke's. Truly, that was the only reason, and not because it was far too easy for him to take his tendencies toward introspection much further in getting in his own head about things too much. It became far too easy, to just be able to shut out the rest of the world, when you didn't even have to look at it.

So work was just a good way to connect with that world and keep himself rooted in it, all the preciseness of cooking and the scents and aromas, the texture and the feel, the rhythm of slicing and the sizzle of the grill. The bustle of the kitchen and the delegation of tasks until it all came together like a well-oiled machine. Of which he himself was a central cog and a crucial part.

He'd been eager to get back to that experience, and, at least so far that day, it had not at all disappointed.

That groundhog was a liar, it was freaking freezing today. Buck had dug out one of those shiny emergency blankets they had around and wrapped it around his shoulders to keep himself warm at the reception desk. Winter sucked.

The Perk, Tuesday Afternoon

Yes, they had a perfectly good coffee maker at home. But sometimes a man needed more than just a coffee. Some days the addition of chocolate was required. And yes, he’d tried just dumping a handful of chocolate chips into regular coffee- it wasn’t the same.

Hence, here he was at the Perk with his mocha and a muffin, a stack of papers spread out in front of him that he was perusing as he ate.
