pocketpretzels: (eyes closed exasperated)

The calls today were- nonsensical. Mostly involving salad dressing for some reason.

Including one from the Bee Lady who’d insisted that a masked man had poured salad dressing over one of her beehives.

Watts promised to send someone out to investigate, but he was pretty certain the ‘masked man’ was in fact a raccoon. Why the salad dressing, he had no idea.

Stark had missed pie day while dealing with a hungover best friend-with-benefits. Luckily for him it seemed that several people had missed pie day at the bakery.

HALF PRICE PIES proclaimed the sandwich board outside the door. Of course Stark had to go investigate.

There were also, of course, any number of green desserts in honor of Sunday's holiday.

Stark was ordering several slices of several varieties of pie. He might be sharing or he might be eating it while sulking alone this weekend. Perhaps both, somehow.

And he was going to eat a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie right now. Because he could.

[another chill day here but not so long at least, very open for baked goods and alien interactions]

It was very clear that Graham was making up for lost pie-me in missing Pi Day by having a plethora of pies spread out before him at the counter of the shop today, and as he nibbled, he was looking into a pie-theme game that looked like it had potential.

While being very careful not to get any crumbs in the box, of course!

The Magpie Emporium is open!

Exciting times at Needful Things: the store was officially open! Sure, the biggest way way that day differed from, say, the previous one was that there was now a cardboard sign in the window proclaiming a 'GRAND OPENING', but still, exciting!

The worst of the dust was gone, and Harley's bribees from a few weeks ago had put the store into something resembling order, although it was still absolutely brimming with all kinds of stuff, from antique furniture through fancy glassware to truly random but fascinating knick knacks.

There was also a small display of high end watches, on the counter, which did not look old enough by a long shot to be antiques, or even vintage. But if you bought them and held onto them long enough, not to mention took better care of them than the poor saps who Cass had lifted them off of, they would eventually become antiques!

Future antiques, it was a thing.

And Harley, beaming behind the counter, was more than ready to debate you on that. Needful Things is open!

(ooc: did I mention open?)
