The Beach; Saturday Morning [06/08].

The lobsters, it seemed, were feeling a little restless that morning, causing all sorts of a ruckus around the apartment while Amaya was trying to do some work in her greenhouse. Normally, she generally encouraged that sort of behavior, especially if it meant they were training with their weapons, but she'd had a lot on her mind with Graham's visit and was sort of hoping some time gardening would sort of help her work through some of it. As a matter of fact, she was now almost wondering if Graham's visit didn't have to something to do with them being more excitable and rambunctious all of a sudden. The kid certainly seemed to have an....infectious personality, so she wouldn't be at all surprised.
But she did need to get them out of the house a little, and what better place to take a couple of lobsters than the beach? She might even dig her toes into the sand a little bit and enjoy the view, but they made sure to find a good stretch of beach that didn't necessitate getting too close to the Lobster Hut, because that would just awkward.
And while the lobsters worked off some of that energy on the surf and turf, Amaya brought with her a little spring mechanism that she'd been working on, something she could do a little bit idly without needed the forge to really piece together. She just hoped none of the parts got loose and got lost in the sand in the meantime, although it wasn't like she couldn't just get more parts (or make more) at the shop.
[[ and open beach is very open! ]]
