Charlie had spent more of the past weekend being grilled by her aunts than she ever wanted to experience again. It was tough not having all the cousins and various hangers-on to distract their focus.

So today she was letting the stereo play what it wanted while she puttered around mostly not working.

Tuesday: Plant Parenthood

Nell still had a lot to think about after the weekend, but mostly she was over the moon for Gladio. To be able to see his sister again after so long was amazing. It had been wonderful to see them together, watch them tease each other and laugh together. It just made her heart happy.

In other words, she could be excused if people found her singing quietly as she went about her work.

Needful Things, Tuesday

The holographic dogs were still there. So either: a) Harley liked them, b) she hadn’t noticed them, or c) she didn’t care.

After the weirdness of Arden and her weekend guests, Remy found he didn’t care that much either. He grabbed his usual spot behind the counter and dealt out a game of solitaire, wondering if he’d get yelled at again today.

Atlas Gym; Tuesday [10/08].

Now Gladio was feeling a little more ready to get back on with business as usual, with a little space and a little discussion with Nell about Iris' unexpected visit that weekend. There was a still a lot to consider with starting to poke their noses back into Eos a little bit, but, considering what happened last time....

Yeah, none of them seemed in any real big rush to have something opened up for them just to have that door slammed shut behind them again. And it was weird thinking about how, not even two years ago, Gladio would have leaped straight into the first chance he got to return but, well....a lot could happen in two years.

And a lot could happen over a single weekend, too.

"Dammit, Iris!" Gladio said, looking at the nearly empty Cup Noodle^TM claw machine in the lobby with no small amount of shock and a good slice of pride in there, too. "I knew I shouldn't have given you all those quarters."

First thing he was going to do was text her (oh, you know, just texting his sister, like...no big deal!!) to let her knew exactly how many new containers of Cup Noodle^TM he owed her, and try to think of rebuttals to her argument that she'd won them all fair and square!

The mechanical Bull in the back room would not turn off. It was unplugged. Still going. No one had turned it on. Kitty didn't want to phase through it and break it because it'd be a lot to replace, so they were just kind of dealing with it tonight. The longer it went on the more it started kind of grinding, so it made a labored mechanical grunting noise?

So come on in, your bartenders needed a break from trying not to laugh!

One thing Dean did not anticipate about brewing up an antidote for Arden's current condition was that after mixing all the ingredients together, it had to sit for a period of time to reach its full potential.

Which meant waiting. Which Dean hated with a passion.

So he was sitting in the shop today, staring at the vial he had worked on yesterday, waiting for it to change color from a dull red to a muddy brown.

It was going to be a long day.
