Whoever was in charge of these daily holidays things at least got one thing right by putting National Chocolate Day right before Halloween. So while Summer was using it as a good excuse to snack on some of the really fancy stuff while she was working on her orders for the week, there was also a pretty big sale on all the bags of chocolate-centered Halloween candy you could imagine, all of them, of course, in a great display that showed that Apu really did have a knack for this when he wasn't being weird about it.

She was absolutely hording all the Reese's pumpkins, though. Maybe if you give her a good deal or could sweet talk her enough, she'd be willing to share her bounty with you, too.

Stewart didn't usually bother with coming into the store on a Monday, but not only did he have a whole mess of new records from the trip to Quebec to work with (yes, yes, Groovy Tunes was a music store with its own records, he did realize the certain irony in all this), but there was also something else he'd been think about that, now with the trip over, he was actually feeling a little inspired to get moving on. And so he was also working on posters.

The biggest one of which would be nestled in the window of the store for all passersby to witness, but there would also be smaller flyers and cards plastered up around town and on public billboards and what have you to spread the word maybe just a little further. They each had their own style and charm, in sort of an 90s indie zine flair with the impression of cut-out letters and a good garage band grunginess, but the message on all of them was generally the same gist:

He'd like to think it wasn't the worst idea in the world. He'd like to think that, if anything, his intrepid fellow Canadian musician and employee would be interested, too. He was trying not to think about him being the only one to want to take advantage of it, or of going through no one showing up again like the last time he tried holding something like this to scratch those creative...well, scratches.

Groovy Tunes is open!

It was difficult dragging herself to work after a lovely week off, but Liliana eventually did it, albeit with ill-grace. Her temper was not improved by seeing that Dean had left her something to deal with...what, two Tuesdays ago now?

Well, at least it was an artifact, even if she had no idea what kind, so being abandoned for two weeks wasn't going to hurt the thing any.

Then Liliana opened the box and wished that being abandoned for two weeks had hurt the thing. "I hate you, Dean," she sighed. It didn't matter that she'd done the same to him several times now. It didn't matter that she'd basically told him to do it. It was too early on a Monday morning for...that.

"Hmm, do I want to deal with this today?" she asked the empty air - for the sheer drama of it, obviously. She was already turning to head back to the counter, tossing the answer over her shoulder with casual disregard. "No."

What? No one said 'words of power' had to be fancy.

School was back in session, and this week would be just another week, its days slipping by like a breeze. Pam, for her part, was back in her store. The garden didn't need much upkeep-- it was beginning to take shape quite nicely, and needed some time to grow.

The shelves were full of products that, as far as she could tell, were at least made with some sense of responsibility. And her mind kept drifting elsewhere, to her phone, to news from the mainland about that chemical plant.

Eventually she got up from the sofa in the corner to sit back behind the counter, pen in hand. Dear Harley...

For now, on this ordinary day, the store was open.

With everyone on vacation this week, apparently most of the work that people didn't want to do somehow got left on Kamala's desk for her to work on.

Which was mostly ridiculous because there was literally nothing she understood about any the work sitting on her desk. It was all prototype designs and other gadgets which made zero sense to her about their primary function or how they even worked.

So most of her day was taking pictures of whatever it was and sending it to Bruno who in turn told her what she needed to do with it. Which mostly led to a bunch of snarky comments from him.

"Tell me again how YOU'RE the intern at Stark Industries?" he asked after the fifth time she called him.

"Just shut up and help meeeee!" she whined back.

That conversation was going to happen a lot today.

Raiden was back from vacation, refreshed and--well, not full of poutine. He never really got to be 'full' for very long. But he'd eaten a whole bunch of poutine, and while you might think he'd be taking inspiration from Quebec, you'd be wrong, because it was peak spooky season and you had to give the people what they wanted: pizzas with adorable mozzarella ghosts on them.

Specials
Ghost Pizza
Witch Hat Calzones
Spider Web Pizza
Mummy Pizza Braids

They were all so cute he almost didn't want to eat them! Almost. Of course he would still totally eat them.

The station was still very clean, much to Steve's relief. He really didn't want to have to get out the bleach and toothbrushes again.

After sorting through the paperwork that had accumulated on his desk and dumping most of it onto Danny's, he scrolled news sites to see what was going on in Hawaii and around the world. One of the pop-up ads caught his attention: "...what the hell is a tactical hoodie?" he asked aloud.

Oh no, now Steve was down the rabbit hole of completely unnecessary faux military attire.

The Trooper Station was open. At least one person inside was swearing under his breath like a sailor.

Eric came into the bar, glanced down at his outfit--black leather pants and a black sweater--and then at Tiny's: black leather pants and a black sweater. He would've thought it was coincidence if not for the fake fangs and blond wig Tiny was also sporting.

"You better be dressing like Lucifer later this week, too," Eric grumbled, sweeping behind the bar to snag a bottle of vodka and a bottle of True Blood and heading to his chair in the lounge to sulk brood.

The Devil's Nest was open and the vampires, apparently, were in.

Saffron had been cruelly abandoned for days upon days, with only Little Bot to cater to her every whim. As such it was vitally important that she made her displeasure known by very ostentatiously ignoring everyone until they realised how terribly hard done by she was and made the appropriate offerings of salmon and snuggles.

Meanwhile, Vi, who was putting up decorations and helping Little Bot with fixing up his pirate costume, was very grateful for Saffron not getting underfoot while she had so much work to catch up on.
