Steven was back at work. Blathers had been understanding of the horrible real life @#$% small emergency back in London that had kept Steven away at the end of the previous week. He'd likewise been kind enough to take notes on the events of Homecoming weekend.

Which meant Steven's task was to go through those notes and draft summaries which could be put up in the display of photos from the weekend as well.

It made for a nice, quiet job. One might even call it cozy.

Stewart had no idea if this whole Open Mic night thing would get any traction. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of musicians in this small community, or, if there were, they probably weren't interested in a thing like this. But he felt compelled to try it anyway, and, if anything, he was itching for a place to perform his own remixes, and if that meant co-opting the space he'd already managed to co-op as a sort of manager while he was here, then so be it.

He was just going to desperately try not to think about his failed raves in the past, and that as long as he managed to be performing in front of more than just two people like--

No. No. He wasn't going to think about that. He was going to check the sound system and levels for about the fiftieth time, but he was absolutely not thinking about that right now, at all.

Pixie Dust; Thursday [11/07].

If you had,somehow, miraculously, not managed to snag a snuggie from somewhere else around the island, boy, we're you in luck! Because Pixie Dust was filled with them!

And Boc had, all week,been steadily adding cunning capes to a good number of them. Look, when you had a very specific skillset, you leaned into it.

But don't worry! He was also just as good at removing them as well! You were good either way!

The Magpie Emporium, Thursday (11/7)

Every single table in the gaming area was surrounded by a pillow fort of its own today. The painting area had its own pillow fort, thoughtfully draped with drop cloths on the inside; one surrounded the desk in Steph's office, and another the front register; even Saffron's bed and Little Bot's station had their own little pillow forts.

Steph was not arguing, and she was pretty sure the people using the tables didn't mind having a level of noise dampening between them and the neighboring groups, but it did make it quiet enough in here that she had to hook her laptop up to the sound system and put on a carefully curated playlist titled "Music for Queer Nerdy Freaks #1." (One of five so far, and a sixth in progress.)

Huh. Maybe she should look into making the pillow forts a permanent thing.

Lobster Hut, Thursday Evening

Lydia had gotten the impression that Maryland was more known for its crab, but there wasn't a crab restaurant on the island, only a lobster one. Perhaps it was out of respect for the crab-based religion of the clinic staff? But that was none of her business. What was her business was that the Lobster Hut had said that sure, they could accommodate a large group, if said large group didn't mind the furniture having transformed into beanbags and the like. Lydia had said that she was sure they could, sent out a message to the usual Supper Club group, and here they were! Ready to enjoy some delicious seafood dipped in butter.

Mmm, butter.

The Devil's Nest, Thursday Evening

Thor was observing the shirtless rites of the day, but the Nest had been infected with the same spirit of coziness as the rest of the island, so there were snuggies about the place for anyone who wanted them, and much more comfortable furnishings than might usually be found.

The weapons shop was full of teddy bears today. All different sizes and colors, on every available surface. It wasn't impossible to get to anything, but it'd be work on moving all of them.

So when Sabine was bored enough she ended up sitting on the floor near the door, leaning against a teddy bear bigger than her, sketching it so she remembered this later.

The Photo Hut - Thursday

It was the first Thursday of the month so Liz was taking the time that morning to set up the monthly spreadsheets but once those were done and the emails had been answered for the time being, she started going through the back log of photos that she had taken from the trip and over halloween and sorting through them, trying to decide which ones that she wanted to put on her memory board.
