The usual sign for half priced teachers was up again tonight.

Mazikeen was behind the bar, again mesmerized by how clean it was. She would have to hide the cleaning supplies next Thursday.

Devil's Nest is open for your drinking needs!

Jane had felt a powerful strange urge to burst into song when she woke up that morning, but she managed to shake it off.

She took a leisurely walk over to the store (which she totally opened yesterday, really), said good morning to Apu, gave Cube a wary look, unplugged Lizzy from her charger and opened up for the day.

Today's Squishy Flavors:
Air, Sailboat Fuel, Whole Lotta Nothin

All and Sundries is open.

[[ooc: I considered making Jane into Doris Day and Apu into Moe, but it seemed a bit much. So they're here to sell stuff and WTF to you.]]

Clark hadn't been able to sleep much past nine am, ever. Hey when you grow up on a farm you get used to being an early riser. Sometimes he was a slow starter however, and caffeine usually helped with that.

So it was that he settled down at a table at the Perk. It wasn't the Talon, but it would do in a pinch.

[clark's available for interaction and wtfness, or the perk itself is of course, open.]

Mufasa padded through his kingdom (all of it was his, you see, from the causeway to the cliffs. Well, except for that shadow-y part), finally settling down in some conveniently tall grass by the pond in the park.

He was looking for ducks for breakfast.

Mmm. Ducks.

[OOC: Open for all your "omg there's a LION here" needs...]

After visiting with Dr. Orpheus this morning, Doctor Jonas Venture Junior, two foot tall dwarf/flipper-tumor-baby with a cybernetic arm, was in need of a good cup of coffee.

So there he was, sitting in a chair (with a booster seat), sipping at an amazing cup of coffee as he was sketching some more ideas for generating the sound that kills on a napkin.

[ooc: Open! And fyi: JJ is, in fact, two feet tall, with a body proportioned to that of a child, but a normal adult-sized head. And his left arm is obviously cybernetic.]

The tellers were bored. The clientele-- fairly oblivious. Rita stopped a security guard, and noticed that he wasn't at all immune to shy flattery. Cameras, of course. But nothing to worry about. The trickiest part would be the silent alarm, but she had an idea of how to cope with that.

"I'd like to purchase a safe deposit box, please." The bank officer was more than happy to let her fill out the paperwork, then leave her alone in the tiny, unmonitored room to put her valuables in her new box for safekeeping.

She carefully placed the revolver she'd taken from the Weapons Lock-up in the little box, then patted it. "You wait here for me. I'll be back tomorrow."

Rita left the bank smiling, and humming a happy tune as she headed for lunch with Eric.

[ooc: establishy only. But feel free to have spotted Rita around town and at the Bank.]

It had been nearly a week since Lumiere had moved to Fandom Island, but at long last, Café Fina was ready to be open.
Granted, the moment they had laid eyes upon the dinnerware-turned-serving-staff, the kitchen staff had nailed the newly renovated swinging kitchen door shut, but so long as they managed to serve the meals, Lumiere didn't mind, really.
Café Fina was open, and there were lovely and scantily clad dinner plates to do the serving today!

[Please wait for minor OCD threads, thanks! OCD is up!]

Josh was sullen. That kind of finely honed, malevolent sullen that only a disaffected teenager could produce. He had woken up with all this stupid skateboarding stuff around, which totally hadn't helped his mood. So now he was at work - scowling as he slouched behind the counter - and trying to figure out how to get away with doing the least work possible.

Today's specials? Did not involve sticks in any way. What kind of loser put food on sticks? Today's specials were all healthy, too. Soy this and protein that and not a bit of junk food in sight.

[[Jude has become Josh, his evil doppelganger. If this were Star Trek, Josh would have a goatee and a sparkly sash. Josh is the exact opposite of everything Jude is: a high-strung asshole. Have fun!]]

There is a new force for good in town. A force patrolling the rooftops, looking out for the safety of the citizens. A force getting totally baked on top of the Kwik Stop.

Snootchies.

The twins opened Sparky Repairs, like they did every Saturday. Unfortunatly for them, they'd noticed no change around the island, at all, and were perfectly bored as usual. With homework in hand, they at behind the counter and whined about 'what a good Saturday' they were missing.

The music was playing and Sparky's is open~

After bolting from the hotel room, Street had found a promising-looking corner and was now offering to do some very inappropriate-for-a-comm-post things to any passers-by (particularily of the male variety).

Arm tucked into Chrono's, Mary beamed as they went to take a little stroll through the park. It really was such a nice little island, perfect to hiding out from the Order and the other Sinners, although she was still quite sad about Chrono's current form. But he was still adorable, perhaps even more so now that he seemed to have shed a significant amount of all the brooding dispositions he used to hold. She smiled at him broadly as he told her various things about the little town, the school, the duck pond. She positively beamed; it was just so nice to be there with him.

"Oh, I do hope I get to meet some people today," she told him, tightening her arm looped through his. "They all sound so very, very interesting. Tell me more about the church, Chrono. A lovely little church. That was an eyepatch I saw on Saint Joseph the Carpenter, wasn't it?"

[[ what better place for crackiness than the park? Open for all your park needs; Mary'd absolutely adore to meet lots of new people, so throw people at her at will~ *twirl* ]]

When George Oscar Bluth Sr woke up this morning, he was gleefully surprised to find himself across the country from Lucille. As the day went on, he got bored and found his way to the nearest bar to what seemed to be GOB's yacht.

"I'll just have a beer," George told Tino (who was actually himself). "Hey, is there an annoying guy around here? Doesn't have too much more hair than me, looks kind of like me? Complete disgrace to the name 'Bluth'?" Tino passed over one of GOB's cards.
G.O.B. BLLUTH
Lord and Master of Caritas
and all Caritas-related products
Professional illusionist
Stong lover

"That's the jackass. This is his bar?" Tino nodded. "He's not even around. Fine. I'll show him how it's done."

With that, George Sr went behind the bar to show how a Bluth really bartends.

[OOC: GOB is his same-named father. I'm around and so is Tino if you'd rather NPC.

ETA: Okay, there is WAAAAAY too much stuff going on. If I drop a thread, I apologize.]

Tommy Chong flipped the sign from closed to open, and then went back to going through the boxes from the attic. There'd been some interesting stuff in there. He already had a seperate pile for materials for his other products.

Photo Hut is open.
[identity profile] jarodpretends.livejournal.com
Jarod had gotten a phone call from one of the girls, saying that Becky wasn't there to man the desk. So here he was, covering for her and completely avoiding the kitchen. Besides, people were busy in there anyway. He'd put the plastic sheeting down earlier.

He made a note to himself about reinforcing the door locks and went back to looking for giant pixie stix and maybe a good present for Jaye. He wondered how she felt about yo-yos and silly putty.

[ooc: Open to all!]

Victor von Doom angrily stalked through the park. His company was in ruins, his skin was turning to metal, and Reed Richards was getting all the fame and glory he so desperately craved. This sucked.

But these powers he was developing, yes, they could certainly be useful. And if someone crossed his path, perhaps he'd practice using them on them.

Mufasa had finally made his way up to the cliffs, where he could stand regally on the edge of them and stare out over his kingdom as the sun set.

And wait for his son to arrive.

He had some lessons to give Simba.

[OOC: For the kid, omg, but if anyone is around to learn about the circle of life, which moves us all, Mufasa will probably not eat you.]

After delivering the cookies, Tess didn't return to her room, but decided to take a walk on the very large hospital grounds. She had brought her drawing pad, and found a reasonably secluded bench, where she proceeded to work. This was important, she knew that.

[Park is open, of course. Tess is disturbable.]
[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com
Lonnie stalked through the streets of Fandom on her way back to her room, cursing under her breath. She was in hell, that was the only explanation for why she couldn't find one single guy to have some fun with. That was it, as soon as she could she was getting the hell out of here.

[ooc: Lonnie's here for someone specific but otherwise open for all your dark street needs.]
[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com
The park had eventually proved a bit too crowded, and the squirrels were awfully noisy. There were also the little man installing microphones around, and Tess really preferred avoiding him. She had considered returning to her room, but there were other patients around there, and the hospital grounds were really quite large.

After wandering around for a while she had found a junk yard, which was quite inspiring. It was as if parts of her drawing were already there, almost real. Tess found an old couch and sat down, continuing to work. It was a good thing she'd brought two more drawing pads.

[ooc: Open. Tess isn't very sociable, but interaction is welcome.]

After seeing... No. She's not ready to think about it yet. Her head will just explode.

So instead of any kind of thinking regarding... that subject, Mel just grabs some stakes from her room and heads out on patrol. Looking for a change of scenery, Mel skips the graveyard and heads out to the woods. Something she'd been meaning to do when she got to the school.

Unfortunately navigating a forest? Totally different than navigating city streets. And now she's lost.

Not that she'd admit it.

[ooc: Threads locked to those who know who they are. Otherwise the prserve is yours...]

Katara was so gleeful that she was almost skipping through the park.  She'd somehow found a patch of wildflowers which were now festooning her braid.  She couldn't believe her good fortune that not only did Zuko not laugh at her admitting of feelings for him, but he had also declared his love in return.  There was nothing that was going to make her day bad.  Nothing at all.

[The Park is open though Katara will be focused on one err...person]

In spite of the sudden changes in town, or perhaps because of them, the Nest was opened.

Mazikeen, for one, was certainly unaware of any odd things happening. If she had been, she'd be quite glad to have not been turned into anything silly. Like Saddam Hussain.

Weetiny umbrellas were lined up and waiting for customers.
