Lumiere has spent all of Friday morning staring up at the scorch marks on the ceiling from yesterday's sneezing fits. He's still sick, but some brilliant member of the kitchen staff was kind enough to wrap his hands in tinfoil so that any future fits wouldn't result in burning the place down.
Lumiere might be contemplating investing in buying more tinfoil.
He would also be seriously considering having a sun roof installed, if only there wasn't an apartment upstairs. As it stands, he's doing his best to flip through the phone book to find someone to repair his ceiling.
Having tinfoil-covered candlesticks for hands is not conducive to page-flipping at all.

The first thing Yitzhak did when he got to the diner this morning was glower one of the cooks into putting away the new shipment of kebab sticks. Apparently in accordance with the theme he'd chosen for today, he had an impressive blonde wig on, the kind that looked like five cans of AquaNet gave their lives to form into the proper shape.

Actually, maybe the theme of the day, Blondie, had been chosen in accordance with Yitzhak's wig.

Cassie was in and out today, what with class and the assembly and such, so she'd been put on stuff in the back room, while Apu manned the store proper.

The SquishyBot flavors today were Red, Lemsip, and Jovial Fruit Cocktail.

Mauvaise Chance Office/Lobby, Friday Morning [2/9]

Still with the floorplans for the sub-basement, but now Xander was behind the counter transferring them from his laptop to the apartment system. He was tempted to type in the info from the new tenant's application, but the thought of kicked-puppy-eyes from Willow held him back. He needed something to distract him from being too thoughtful about recent discussions, though; trying to make his iBook and Harper's light-years-more-advanced system talk to each other was serving for the moment, but that wouldn't last forever.

The Guy With Tools signs, now with 97% more glitter, were still posted outside the building doors, and in the lobby.

Selkie Cove: Friday

Despite the cold, Lana found herself out on the rocks at Selkie Cove. She was in town to pick up some stuff for Jim, but she knew he wouldn't mind her taking some time for herself - would encourage it actually.

Caritas - Friday evening [Open]

Tino opened the bar as he had during GOB's shifts for the past week. It was nice to be the acting manager. He hoped GOB stayed away for a long, long time.

And then he heard the music. The zombies started playing "The Final Countdown." Tino ran over to the door and locked it. Not this soon! Not like this!

A burst of smoke hit the stage and GOB was suddenly there. "Open up the bar, Tino! It's time to welcome me back!" A banner unrolled from the ceiling with the words "Welcome ack GOB!" on it. Tino unlocked the doors and wondered how GOB did that.

"I got back three hours ago. I just couldn't waste an entrance like that," GOB explained without prompting.

"And after this, I go see Becky."

[OOC: GOB is back in town and in a good mood. Hooray! I'm around but may be slightly distracted at times. Mod Tino if you want speed.]
